Hey Insertnicknamehere 👋
Wow, this is an amazing breakdown of the new Jelly Fish behavior 🐟🎯 Thanks for sharing such a detailed analysis and it’s super helpful for players trying to understand how they work in different scenarios.
I can see how the change can feel great on some levels (like those without jelly) but tricky on others (where lots of fish are needed). The insight about last-turn fish behavior is especially interesting 🤔 I’ll make sure to pass this feedback along to the team.
About the level adjustments, I totally get how reducing turns can impact strategy. Noted on level 114 and I’ll keep an eye out for similar feedback from other players as well!
Thank you also for the suggestion for the poll options, that was a missed from my side.
Thanks again for such a thoughtful post and keep the feedback coming ☺️
It is easier to create jelly fish and there is less confusion since this is the same way to create fish as in the other Candy Crush games like Soda, Jelly and Friends.
😊🐨💕
I had a popup in my game, but I haven't been able to create a fish in Candy Crush yet. I know how it works in theory because I've done it many times in other games (Friends, Jelly, Soda).
Love it! Fish are me favorite extra help to pass boards ever!!!🐟🐟🐟
Once again you’ve found a way to reduce the effectiveness of a booster by spinning it as new feature, no thanks switch it back! We used to get 3 fish when we combined them, now we get 1? Not an enhancement, more like another way to try and get our money just because you make it impossible to complete a level! Please change it back, don’t be so greedy.
I agree with the post above. I'm also on a hard level (8060), and when I attach the fish to a striped candy, you only get one, and it goes to the most unhelpful point on the board. At the moment it seems they are not much use, especially when the write-up states they will help "clearing blockers". They don't. Please make the fish actually help, if not, I can't see much point in having them. I have also found with the 'normal' fish on difficult levels, they also do not go to remove blockers, but to normal candies :( Please make these fish more useful too! Thank you
I’d prefer it back the way it was.
Now a special candy (striped / wrapped) + a fish now only gives 1 special fish, I’m sure it used to give 3?
Also, I’m finding the special fish are going to the worst spots eg fish + wrapped created a special fish which landed on another wrapped candy. Seems bugged.

It is not 100% of the time but it does occur more as the level difficulty goes up. It is hard to pin down what will 100% trigger this behaviour.

Ya this is pretty clearly an oversight. The dragons are triggered every 5 turns but since 3 turns were removed, instead of the dragon spawning with 4 turns left it spawns with 1 turn left.
Now to be fair, some levels have gained turns that also make no sense as the levels were trivial to start with or the old → new fish mechanic makes almost no difference to them in the end.
Also will report what I think might be a bug. The fish do not go after toffee blockers, they just 100% ignore them.
You combine 4 blue and get I fish!! What is the benefit to that?? The actual fish feature has changed as well. If you combine a fish with a square, you got three square fish, now you get One!! Same with the stripe. Not a good feature change!! Why on earth would you do this, certainly not an upgrade.
To the stripped seemingly going to a stupid spot, I am not sure if it actually is. The way the algorithm works making a weird move off over yonder can lead into a significant cascade on the next move if you do it correctly.
The think about the algorithm is that moves that make sense to us, based on what we know, are not always the correct move based on the pattern the algorithm has due to it having knowledge of all the moves to a board clear.
If you have ever made a move that seemed odd or bad but had a really nice result, that was you matching the algorithm even if it seems nonsensical to you.
Basically that is what I think the fish are doing in that case. They are setting you up for a "correct" move, like a hint, but realistically it is 20/80 against at best if you will be able to take advantage of it by making the next intended move. That is where a tweak would come in.
I would also be curious to see if in that situation following the game next hint always makes a good move, if you have hints on.
