I can’t believe it! My husband always kidded me about beating the game, but I never really thought I would run out of levels. 17885! Geez! No confetti or anything! I’ve spent some coin on this habit and I would appreciate a little ‘way to go!’

I'm really curious how it looked to you like you were at the end at 17885. Perhaps you don't have auto-updates on and you have an older version currently? If that is the reason, you should be able to update the app and have levels up to 18515 (assuming you're mobile) or I think 18605 (if you're Windows) as the end.
Either way, you are very close to the end, so where you are now is quite impressive!
I just got to the end of mobile levels last week. The most interesting thing there is the Star Tournament. I am hoping to post a thread about it, and another about life at the end of the map, tomorrow, after I investigate a few more things for the posts once the new levels come out. The new levels will be out in just an hour or two from now, so then mobile will go up to level 18560 due to the 45 new levels they will release.

As my fellow players stated you are not at the end at all @PookieM . The end of Candy Crush (on mobile devices) looks like this:
