I agree that the reduction from three fish to one is a significant downgrade. As a result on some levels I am having to use too many of my special candies. I suspect this is to force higher levels to spend more gold for boosters when you are stuck. In the past a few fish would have often done the trick.
I’m taking a break from Candy Crush until the fish are restored. Will check back in a couple of weeks.

I don't know if it has been pointed out, but I've mixed a fish with a vertical candy, and it blows up horizontal, and vice versa.

I agree with the above comments. We got more striped and wrapped candies with the fish combination. Please return us to three fish instead of one.
