Are the new jelly fish (one instead of three….) intelligent or are they dumb? Here's what I have found:
They do exactly what King have told them to do. So if we are meant to fail a level they'll either remain absent or go for the "wrong" candies, if we are meant to pass the level there will be lots of them and they will go the right candies. They are King's little helpers to make sure the level plays the way it is meant to be played.
They aren't dumb at all. They are playing the algorithm.
I've not got huge amounts of time to gather much evidence to back this up, but I am pretty sure I've seen this play out in the game. I have not yet seen a fish go for the "wrong" candy. They only do so in levels where King have programmed them to stop us from passing the level. This does not make them dumb at all. It makes them a very clever tool to control outcome of the levels!
I do not appreciate you taking KING's point of view, or at least implying so in the title.
Level 703. Luckily I was starting with 2 super bombs, so I cleared most everything pretty fast.
1 blocker left in a tricky spot up high. I must have created 20 fish, NONE went for the last blocker.
Smart indeed…
I agree.. They've been programmed, they're going to do what they're programmed to do, it looks like they're not going to be of much help to us (the players)!!
Fish makes me very angry with all the games... For the same reason you talked about, they would have been useful if they were going to the place where I would earn the level, and that happens sometimes, but not often!
But in general, its presence finally in the game is a good thing... because (in the past) its presence in all the games except here made me feel that the game has something missing.
Hey ho, I was being a little bit sarcastic, sorry you didn't get it.
I chose my header in order to get some attention amongst all the other threads on this topic.
Why? Clearly @christinewupp has found the fish to be "smart" as have I.
What you are experiencing does not negate that. You assume the fact the fish did not hit the last blocker means the fish are dumb. What you do not realize is that there are additional game mechanics that dictate what boosters will do. ie last turn will affect fish/ufos.
More to the point, if the fish had not been there would you have been able to make a match? Did you get a color bomb to pop or did you have the option to make a match for it? If the algorithm says no, unless you use a hammer/popper you will not be getting that last item. The fish is no different in that regard to any other booster.
Basically the fish is still smart, but the algorithm is intentionally blocking the fish from getting the last item. Does it make them useless? No, because you would NEVER have gotten that last item without using a hammer/popper, maybe switch.
I am just checking this level and I note that there are only really jellies here. So I am surprised that 20 fishes failed to go for one particular jelly, I take it from what you wrote that by this time all the other jelly was already removed? Was there by any chance a fish sitting on TOP of the Jelly? In fact I have seen this in another level: The new fishes do NOT got for any jelly square that has a fish in it. I am not sure if this is intentional but I suspect the mechanics are like this to prevent huge fish eats fish cascades. Next time if you get a level where the fishes repeatedly don't go for the one last remaining jelly please take a screenshot. I think this should not happen. I have not seen it my game so yours might be faulty.
After 4 or 5 turns the level was empty apart from 1 jelly. Then I had 15 turns or so to get rid of that last jelly. Like
Candy Crush Saga LEVEL 703 NO BOOSTERS (new version)at 1:01:
I am starting to suspect you are a KING employee. Anyone that defends these new fish is insane. PLAY 655 and 675 and deny that.
I am NOT defending King, quite to the contrary. Which King employee would suggest that the game is rigged and that the fishes are rigged as well. You completely misunderstood my post. These legendary levels are fixed to be impossible to pass. The fishes don't override this. The fishes aren't in the game to help players, they are in the game to help KING control the outcome. So that KING can make money because players will have to pay money to pass levels. What is there not to understand?
Looking at levels 655 and 675 I think those are pay-to-pass levels right now. The game requires payment of gold bars to pass many legendary levels. It's how the game is run by King. And no, I don't agree with it. But the game is what it is.
You don't seem to understand the new fish. Levels 655 and 675 will have to have their move count increased by at least 10, if not more. Level 703 showed me that the fish DELIBERATELY avoid the useful actions. AND I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU COMPLAIN ONCE.
You are losing my respect fast.
Have the fish ever eaten a blocker, cleared under a dragon or made what would be a helpful move on any level you have played?
If the answer is yes, then they are smart. Just because a completely different mechanic is blocking them from hitting the last jelly does not change the fact they are "smart".
As to the rest… LMAO.
