I've seen vietnamese people trying to earn money through games. But by that, I will never conclude that it's a vietnamese thing or an asian thing.
Sometimes white people also try to generate income through these games.
Not this one specifically, I actually would guess Nigerian going by the name. But most of these posts have Asian (Pakistani, Indian) usernames, language, and some even post their phone numbers and bank accounts :)

I use to see candy crush accounts being sold on the silk road, which is a black market website. This was like 8 years ago. If you sell your account and get caught, King will ban you for life.

Hello - As some players have mentioned - playing Candy Crush (or any of the King games) will not earn you real money that you can spend outside the games (gold bars are only for use inside the games).
The only way to win real money is to win the All Stars tournament or to be one of the finalists.

Yeah, that's just embarrassingly pathetic. Still, why would people buy a used Candy Crush account? It's not only illegal, it's also useless. Playing levels is the whole point. Why buy an account, with less levels to play?
It's like Elon Musk. He's paying elite players to up his Warcraft/Legends status. And then brag how good he is :)
People are paying to play. But King doesn't pay players.
It makes sense though. People are paying to play. It would make more sense for them to buy an account with a lot of gold.
I saw a post on reddit of a man discovering his wife spent $60K. He didn't even complain, because she earned more than he did, but still…
So someone is out there spreading lies to desperate people. That's a morally abhorrent behaviour.
