Hi King Team and fellow crushers,
Many of us recently competed in the Candy Crush All Stars 2025 tournament and were shocked to learn—after elimination—that you can earn tournament points (purple candies) without passing levels.
This was never clearly explained. In fact, the event screen says "Play levels to collect purple candies," which heavily implies that passing levels is required. Out of fairness and habit, we progressed through harder levels thinking this was necessary—only to lose out to players who farmed easier levels repeatedly without advancing.
We’re not accusing anyone of cheating. But the rules of engagement were unclear and that led to a competitive disadvantage for many of us who played in good faith.
We're asking King for:
- Clear and explicit tournament rules, especially around how points are earned.
- A future update to event instructions or FAQs, making it known that passing levels is not required to collect purple candies.
- More balanced mechanics in future tournaments to reward skill and progression—not just farming.
We love this game. We love the competition. But we also believe in fair play, and right now, many of us feel misled.
If you agree, please reply and share your experience. The more voices, the more likely we'll be heard.
Thank you,
—A community of passionate (and confused) crushers 🧡💜
