Many of us had the same ludicrous Top That version as you did. I haven't made it past the Coconut Wheel tier, not that I've put in any effort. There were many complaints here about how ridiculous the 100 gold reward is compared to what needs to be achieved. Why would they give us such an event? Even for King, it doesn't seem to make sense.

About the game being stressful, I'll tell you about my own experience. I remember that when I just started playing the game, I was like you, stressed a lot. I was anxious about losing my precious Episode Race win streak. I panicked and wasted gold and boosters when someone got ahead of me. I was drawn into fighting every leaderboard event out there, and it cost me both gold and nerves. I think I became much calmer when I began to realize that much of this game is an illusion. King set up events to create a continuous sense of urgency, to make us stressed and afraid of not winning something. They profit from it. When I realized that, it helped a lot. Now I play against the game and it's makers. They want to get me stressed, and I try not to let them to. I trudge along at the pace that I myself set, and only pay attention to events that I myself deem worthy. I'm closing in on the end of the game, albeit very slowly, but I'll take my time. I found that playing this game on and off works well for me, and I periodically remind myself that it's just a game, not something worth getting that stressed about. I don't know if the above is of any help, but I'm sending you good vibes, @zeus77.

For me Top That this week takes 8000 or 9000 blue candies per level. That’s impossible to complete in 3 days. Why is it suddenly impossible this week?

I would therefore conclude that some of the star tournament levels must no longer exist elsewhere in the game. King have rewritten and removed so many levels. It would be nice if these levels were allowed to continue to exist in the star tournament. I did find that some of those levels were more interesting than the usual garbage we now get.

Yes during the all stars which I was not playing I noticed that you couldn't get new points if you tried to stick a candy or dragon in a spot to make more points by keeping playing that level.As far as any changes orredesign of levels. No change that I notice. It's the same 81 or 82 levels. I think king might not have thought the tournament was important enough to change for a few million people at the end except for when the All Stars started and they only made one change.

Out of interest @cookiemae How often do you see a change in the levels of the star tournament? Can you remember how long these current levels have been around for? I do think that King must change and overhaul them, surely? Are they the same levels now as they were when you played them in All Stars two years ago?

@Nobody1 I have always loved the star tournament. I think I might have posted that in the past. I've Played it from the beginning and it was fun because once you learn the pattern it is very easy. I know you don't much of a reward but I always come in 1st so I can add to my booster stock. You're right about people not liking it also. I like that you don't need to use boosters because you know the pattern. No issues with it ever.

I think there may be patterns, and they can even differ for different players. But my point was that it doesn't necessarily depend on whether we win it. I have never won it, but they keep turning it on and off, sometimes for a few weeks. Let's see what we get next week. Good luck!

Hello. I really wish to play star tournament and see whats the fuzz about it (Some player likes it some don't). But I think by the time I reach end of the map and try my hand in star tournament i fear I may lose all my teeth and get full grey hair 😁. I'm still playing 7000ish levels but feel king personally tweaks my game which in turn gives me constant migraine.

Ps - I'm glad you've got top that in your game. After being deprived of so many events like candy royale, super colour bomb you deserve more.

@MannyFae hello. If i dint get it next three weeks I'll report it to you. One thing don't add up is I've played top that before. Whenever I get it I play and win(i agree, i lose more gold to win). And i wont see it for few weeks. In this community when players post they get top that I get roll the dice event on the same week. I know we players are in different group/test. This is the first time I'm offered three times continuously. I'm trying to understand, is there a pattern?. Is it just because of not winning the first two times or is it a test. I think I've to wait for next three Mondays to see. Thanks for replying.

I have also gotten Top That the past few weeks. In previous weeks I made very little progress because I wasn't at the end of the map - I fell behind with the 60 levels per week and my unwillingness to spend gold bars to get to the end. But this week I did lots of ad watching and made it back to the end of the map. So I got to use the Star Tournament to work on Top That (amazingly it counts for Top That!). In just two days I was able to get to the 9th of the 10 tiers. But I doubt I can make it all the way before it expires to get the 100 gold bars. Still, it was fun to see how far I could get without using any boosters (except starting color bombs and striped/wrapped, which are essentially free - I have over 3000 of each).

I so love playing the Star Tournament levels! It's so fun seeing what you can do without using any boosters. Most of those levels can be won a large percentage of the time with nothing but the "free" starting boosters, which don't cost anything. Playing the Star Tournament feels like playing old Candy Crush from 10 years ago. I love it, even if there aren't any real rewards.

Yes, I have received Top That for the third week in a row. I never really play this event because I would definitely spend more gold than I would win, so I just complete a few tiers by playing normally. I think that in the past, I had a pattern of being offered it for three weeks and then not seeing it for three weeks. If it happens to you too, maybe it's just the way King run this event.

I don't play Top That as such @zeus77 as, as you said it comes out on a Monday and the new levels come out on Wednesday so 2 and a half days lost before even starting. Something else the Studio could maybe look at @QueenB starting Top That the same day new levels are released. At the moment I'm lucky to get to level 5 in the time I have left. The sore point is I always manage to get a coconut wheel, the one booster I already have lots of and don't really need 😮

So sorry zeus77 can't really answer or confirm what you are asking. But I'm sure someone else will 🤞
