So does the algorithm learn how I play?

If you are referring to my own post above, then it's not quite as straightforward as I thought. We don't all get the same boards. I noted this in my thread about this level:
Basically in that thread I noted that playing the same level as a new player I got hellish boards I was unable to pass for many attempts, but when I scrolled back to the same level and played exactly the same level using exactly the same boosters (none, since none were allowed in this locked boosters level) I got lucky boards and obviously played a completely different algorithm.
King set the algorithms. King use AI to write the layout of our boosters on the starting board and candy drop for each board that loads, so I guess they feed one of the following into their computers:
That is basically what we get each time we play a new level. One of those options above. They change each time we replay the board. The rating often suggests what kind of level we get. Legendary and nightmarishly hard levels often cannot be passed unless the game helps us by placing our two colour bombs side by side on the starting board. If we fail on our first attempt we get fail boards seemingly forever, so the only sensible way to play these levels is to either pass on our first attempt ( with the help of our win streak boosters) or wait until the game offers us 35 or so extra moves for 10 gold bars. Hard levels tend to produce a lucky board (the "make level easy to pass" option above) after a certain number of attempts, so if you have enough lives you could replay those until you get lucky. Especially if you also have timed starting boosters.
Huh. So it may not learn how I play, but what it gives me might depend on the move I make? And/or all of the previous moves?
…..
Hi @Jejsta123 I would not be surprised if you are right about this. King certainly control our games in ways that are not always easy to work out. It is not unthinkable that the "with ads" test group, which does get more lollipops than other test groups, might see more "just one lollipop short" boards. I have long suspected that for most players ads are not as helpful as they seem, because players in the "no ads" test groups probably get other perks in their games to help them along. It might well be that lucky boards show up more often and sooner for these groups. If what you are suggesting is right, then those players with lots of lollipops might get a different end of level algorithm from other players. I have been getting quite a few boards recently that have allowed me to pass on my final move. Perhaps you get a different version, which leaves you one move short. Sadly I am finding it just too time consuming and boring to test these theories out now.
Hey Christine, always love your insights. I have to say; however, that for the past week I've had sweet cinema and have been racking up a lot of boosters which I freely use when needed. It seems suspicious that all of a sudden I'm reaching the end of a level and have just one impossible candy left to clear (lolly pop hammer?), hmmm. I was thinking that CC AI knows I've collected the boosters and is now forcing me to use them. For the record. I've stopped using them and just replaying the levels hoping it forgets about me (lol). I'm probably over thinking it but it seemed awful funny that this is happening all of a sudden.
No I don't really think so. We all get pretty much the same boards for all the levels. The algorithms are set by an AI. The AI is learning how to write them.
The algorithms are in three parts: the first few moves, the mid section, and the last few moves (the end of level algorithms).
I haven't figured out yet at which point the end of level algorithms set in. It might be when that annoying banner comes up to obstruct our view of the moves left, so halfway through the level. The first few moves decide if we get a lucky board. Many non marked levels will have a lucky board for anyone starting on a win streak and playing starting boosters, then these are over within a few moves: There is only a beginning and end, but no mid section.
If we get a more standard lucky board, by playing the correct moves required by the algorithms or playing the correct booster early on, such as a hand switch to bring two colour bombs together, or a lollipop to hit the last key early enough, we will be rewarded by a lucky mid section in which there will be lots of opportunities to create combos of special candies. At this point players need to make as many special candies as they can and eventually the game will create some cascades to clear lots of blockers. Then comes the end of level algorithm, on harder levels if you got a lucky board earlier on, you need to be very careful for the end of level algorithm, so often it's the last 7 moves or so. We need to use our brains at this point to guess which moves the game might want us to make, or which booster we are meant to use, and usually if you get it right you can pass on our last move or more often on our second to last move.
And of course there are algorithms which are set up to block all players and only those with not much sense who are determined to keep their win streaks for some unknown reason, or because of Candy Royale (which can be a good valid reason), will be so wasteful to pay lots of gold bars plus boosters to pass those on a first attempt.
