If you are a long standing loyal player of the game and have either made minor purchases, watched ads for boosters or had enough gold accumulated in your account to get this far you may find that these last 2000 levels of the game are just horrible and the old strategies don't work any more. Here is why:
King want players at these upper levels and trying to catch up the end of the map to either start spending big money or quit. They nerf the last 2000 levels to include impossible boards.
Candy Crush is now a gold budgeting game. It is not the same game it was just two years ago. In the lower level ranges players can make a gold profit. But in these upper levels the tables are turned. These episodes are designed in a way to drain our gold reserves: Even with the best possible strategy we have to spend more gold than we can make.
Levels are being rewritten by an AI trained to make maximum profit for King and the old trick to wait for a lucky board no longer works at all level ranges, but especially in these upper levels. Check the YouTube videos: If there is none that shows the level being passed with no boosters then that indicates that there is no lucky board and that you will have to play strong boosters or gold to pass the level. Players nearing these upper levels need a large gold reserve to get through these levels to reach the end of the map.
If you have run out of gold or boosters then this may be the end of the road for you: Do check my next post for some tips on what to do.
If you have been watching ads DO NOT make any purchase or you will lose your ads.
If you have been making small purchases but find that you are spending more and more: This will not get any better. Think of how much you can afford. Above all ask yourself if you are getting value for money: Are you still enjoying the game? If not then do NOT spend any money on it! If you love the game and are addicted, read my next post.
Edit 14.June 2025: These tips were written by myself and are not officially from King as I do not work for them. In my view they apply to Candy Crush Saga but not to other games.
