Ropable about Temu ads

Hi Team,

I really enjoy playing Candy Crush and appreciate the opportunity to watch ads in order to “fund” my bonuses. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to keep on playing. However, the TEMU ads test my patience beyond my limits. Once their ad is finished and I press the ‘X’ in the top right corner to leave, they won’t let me out of the ad until I am swearing. Back-and-forth, back-and-forth Temu cycles from web page, back to the ad, on to a revolving wheel, back to the website… on and on. It’s aggravating and feels like customer abuse. I am sometimes spending more time watching Temu ads than playing Candy Crush. Furthermore, my time is badly wasted when I want to participate in races. Please don’t let Temu advertise on Candy Crush. Because unfortunately, it’s starting to become not worth it to play any more. Thanks for listening to my feedback, WonderWoman.

It’s really helpful to hear directly how this affects your experience, and while we don’t manage the ads ourselves, we always make sure to highlight player feedback like this with the right people.

G'day @WonderWoman100 the Temu advert is indeed extremely annoying. I have turned trying to not open their website into a mini-game within Candy Crush. Beating the Temu advert is even more satisfying than completing a level in Candy Crush.

One thing to note is that no one from King is guaranteed to read your feedback here. For the most part everyone here is just a player of the game exactly like you are. All we can hope for is that our forum manager passed on any feedback to the correct people and that they act on it.

The issue with Temu and other adverts doing the same thing has supposedly been passed to King for investigation.

In my opinion though this doesn't really mean anything. Since 2022 (and probably since before that) King has had issues with adverts that they don't seem able to fix.

I have reported the Temu advert using the help function of the game and unusually King responded directly with their usual nicely worded response. When I receive the feedback form from the agent I am going to mark it negatively as the issue still hasn't been fixed.

If you are interested here is how I have had the least number of issues with the Temu advert.

When the X first appears do not select it. When the X first appears let the advert continue to play and wait until it gets to the part that says download the Temu app. When you see these words select the X and you should then see the five second countdown mentioned by Carol-38. Wait for the X and when you press it you should be taken back to your game.

This doesn't always work, but I have had some success this way.

Don't let the silly advert put you off your game @WonderWoman100 I'm in the 19,000's and there are many annoying things that happen but I keep going. Hopefully the Temu add will be sorted @QueenB as many have commented on it before. Or hopefully the time the payment Temu paid for their advert to be displayed will be finished soon 🤞

Thanks for your validation, folks. As someone who never posts on forums, I appreciate your replies. If the Candy Crush team aren’t concerned about the Temu ads, I’ll keep an open for a more customer-friendly phone game. It’s a pity, really. I am on level four-thousand-and-something.

I don't think it makes any difference what we do, and this has been posted about more than once before. Sadly nothing seems to have been done about it. The advert is 30 seconds long then we click X then we get taken into their website, then we click back and see the adverts still playing. Click X again then get a 5 second count down. Sometimes it goes on so much, it's a whole minute on one advert 🤐

We all accept watching ads to fund CC is part of participation in the game but the Temu adds are taking the proverbial.
How do they achieve this ? Does it matter how you click on the ‘X’ ?
