It's frightening. I think this will kill off Candy Crush as it's a really bad move.

Personally I still find those levels written by AI far too obvious ( and of course tediously boring!) and all the algorithms are too transparent. This game is now easier and easier to play and to outwit. Anyone with half a brain can now find cheats and win a ton of boosters and gold. This will kill the game.

The level in this post no longer exists. Complexity is gone and being replaced by dumb uniformity.

The AI is rewriting every algorithm now, up and down all level ranges.

The NOTHING is spreading. It is everywhere.

I'm giving up trying to outrun it. There is no point.

One can hope they will ignore levels now that they have a significant range of levels dumbed down for All-stars and the like.

Who are requesting action on this from @KiwiBird97 ? This thread is certainly not a place to contact anyone at King! Why have you placed this request here in this thread? How does it relate to AI?

Please put a Credits tab somewhere in the game (Settings or Pins) so that we can all the people who worked tirelessly on Candy Crush Saga for 14 seasons.

If this can't be done, play the Credits after clearing all available levels (but before unlocking the Star Tournament).

On a slightly different topic but still in line with this header….What are anyone's thoughts on AI being used in this community by King? It is quite obvious that one of the moderators has been replaced by an automated system. I mean the one that within seconds of me posting a new thread will put a "helpful" reaction to it, faster than it's even possible for a human to read my elaborate thread. Also there seem to be some real players who have been trying to infiltrate the community with using their own AI and took over the counting threads and some other threads talking to each other and including that moderator. I think these outsiders are being removed slowly, but King have been experimenting with automated moderators I have no doubt. I think this has been going on since last autumn.

The game has become more and more uniform. I'm not sure yet if this will continue or if they will leave some of the old levels intact. I'm playing levels 7000-10,000 and they are still really interesting and many are fun, there is stretch in there with levels like this one:

I love this level because I have counted 13 different elements in this one level. The AI cannot compute that many elements and all the new rewritten ones it churns out are uniform and bland. It's just this stretch in the middle of the game. The new releases created by the AI are just so dull.

I'm kind of hoping that now King no longer have the staff to really look at these mid range levels they might remain. The AI is only apparently changing levels around within the episodes but not coming up with much new material as is evident in the new releases. So long as these levels make money and a few tweaks like the jelly fish or dropping a double colour bomb combo can help the hopeless get past them eventually, I'm now a bit more hopeful that the rewrite won't catch me up. It seems players don't get hopelessly stuck even on level 8061/8064 , which is still there for now. Maybe players do check up on YouTube or here in the community when stuck and what we are doing is having some positive effect on keeping the game alive.

And whatever happened to the marshmallow? In my latest game, now approaching level 4000, I've had a few single marshmallow levels here and there. But ultimately that too is just a blocker like all the others and requiring the same strategy to pass. It just looks a bit more fun.

I think the AI is speeding up reshuffling and rewriting episodes now. Unfortunately I now cannot find my favourite go-to level for greens, blues and orange. It had moved after the Monday rewrite, when I made a note of its new position. I know it's now been replaced because I get the "boosters locked" note when I try to untick the booster. That whole episode has been rewritten apparently. I guess it was computed that this was a really easy episode and we can't have that in the game any more….

Hm, that super off topic comment has got me worried….. Perhaps those data centres will keep going when us humans have died out due to the climate apocalypse. The AI might find a way to use solar panels to feed off and create a few bots to keep recycling the minerals and keep it all going when we're gone. I'm sure they've done that story in Star Trek. Like they did the iPads and mobile phones, voice control computers and touch screens etc. (Still waiting for the holodecks but we're not too far off that one)

Yeah, it's logical, but… there are old threads in this forum, full of predictions that everyone will quit and King will go bankrupt made many years ago. Nothing happened. People get burned out and quit, then the new ones come, get burned out and quit, and there seems to be no end to it. Their business model simply replaces those who quit with the new ones. The billion and a half Indians can keep this going for some time. The logic suggests that it could collapse at some point, but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe it's sustainable.

Candy Crush is not the type of game that can continue on with new this and that added as it is inherently restrictive in its design. A game like Clash of Clans, sure, a Bejewelled clone has no chance.

Also super off topic, AI is going to hit one hell of a wall when the environmentalists and climate warriors realize how insanely horrific those AI data centres are when it comes to energy usage and material requirements.

New players are trained to play the game without much thought, so I doubt a lot of them will go looking for loopholes. Some surely will, but most will just pay. People with half a brain are being driven out, so maybe King have a point about not caring to fix it all.

This is an interesting bit. So they are not currently growing. I've been suspecting this. The surge of activity and drastic changes to the game that began in November-December last year looks too much like a frantic push to get more money right away, regardless of the longer term consequences.

I think they will eventually start churning out more and more new levels every week, so that players at the end of the map won't be able to keep up. Then the question of who reached the highest level will actually make sense. The game has already transformed into a competition to see who can bash through more levels using the super charger. With this approach, the quality of the levels does not matter at all.
