⛔ Under Investigation: Episode Race counter isn’t advancing and my progress is not syncing

We're aware of an issue affecting the latest levels in Candy Crush Saga, and we're really sorry for the inconvenience.

Some players have reported the following:

Weekly Contest progress isn’t updating
Episode Race counter isn’t advancing
Game progress resets to level 19,686 after closing and reopening the game
Sync issues across devices for example, crowns appear on some levels, but overall progress shows an earlier state

Our studio team is already on the case and working hard to fix this as quickly as possible.

We’ll share updates here once we know more so stay tuned!

Hi everyone 👋

Thanks to all of you who’ve been sharing your experiences, we really appreciate the details. I just wanted to give you a quick update.

Our team is actively investigating the issue where the Episode Race is not advancing or not appearing after completing levels. We’ve shared the latest reports (including the November ones from this thread) with the studio so they can continue digging into it.

If you’re still experiencing this, it would really help if you could share:

the device you’re playing on
your game app version
whether the game freezes everytime after finishing a level
when was the last time you had the Episode Race

I know this has been frustrating, and we’re very sorry for the disruption. Thank you for your patience while the team works on getting to the bottom of it!

I also want to mention something a few of you have brought up in the comments, the issue where you finish a level but the game doesn’t move forward to the next level, and you need to fully close and reopen the app to keep playing.

This isn’t necessarily tied to the Episode Race problem, but it has been reported separately and the studio is looking into it as well. We don’t have full details yet, but it’s definitely on the investigation list.

We’ve already flagged that the game seems to get stuck at level 19686 for some players, and it’s not syncing progress properly across devices, especially between mobile and Facebook or desktop. The team is aware and still investigating 🫡

✅ Update: Good news! The issue with levels not being counted, Episode Race not starting, and progress not syncing properly between devices should now be fixed.

Can you check and let us know if things are working better for you now?

A special shout-out to @Carol-38 who flagged this yesterday, thank you for your sharp eye and detailed report. We’re really sorry we didn’t spot the issue right away.
Hopefully, you’ll notice a difference now that we’ve made some improvements so please let us know how it’s looking on your side.

I have answered another question this morning where their game progress also is stuck at #19687 on one of their devices!

Just for my clarification… can you please tell me which devices (make & model) you are using and what are the App versions you have right now?

You are right (in one of your other posts) that this could be a bigger issue as there are more players that are experiencing the same issue!!

I will compile all the complaints and report to our Community In-charge, so that they can take a look at it tomorrow. The Kingsters are located overseas and it is midnight for them now!

This is an issue with MANY, MANY players! NOT JUST ME. My phone says I'm at level 19714. Facebook says 19687. My app I have on my laptop will not RE-SYNC. I can't get in there anymore. I logged out per your earlier instructions. NOW I CAN'T GET BACK! Maybe you should send out a message to the world that you are borken today! I will NOT follow instructions from you anymore since I can't play in my APP. YOUR FAULT, NOT MINE! Don't play it up like it's user error when it's not. It's your end messing something up. Please fix it.

This is the first time today I have logged in to play candy crush. The game is not only not syncing across my devices, but not with itself either, ie the weekly contest isn't showing that I won 2 levels. (I just got new levels today. ) My other devices show that I played and won the levels, but it's not advancing to them. Can I get some HELP HERE? @PummyRaj or some moderator please

The issues in on THEIR end! We shouldn't have to resync or anything. Many people are having this issue. No one here can answer the problem though. They won't own up to the issue I guess.

These issues are not my error. I don't want to lose the levels I have on my phone by uninstalling and reinstalling. But my laptop levels are way behind. The issue is on your end (not mine!). I know this because of all the other people having the same problem. That means it's on your end, not mine.

I am sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing in your game!

There are few more complaints about this issue and their game is stuck at # 19686! How about yours?

What are the devices you are using? And, which levels they are showing you at?

I have already reported the issue to the Community Manager! They will be checking these complaints first thing in the morning!

I am playing Candy Crush on my Android phone and sometimes on the internet via Facebook (Meta). Since updating to the latest version on Android, I’ve noticed that when I complete levels on my phone, the progress is not reflected in my Facebook account.

It looks like there may be a synchronization issue or a problem with the replica system between platforms. This mismatch is affecting my gameplay experience.

Please investigate and resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Why is my games not syncing???
I play candy crush on facebook and on microsoft for PC. Facebook I am almost at level 3000. Microsoft will not for the life of me let me log in on the facebook button.
