If you contact player support as advised please do not expect the full gold award to be given that you missed. I doubt they have a record of your Candy Royale winnings. They do have a record of your spending history though, so if you bought gold or boosters with money you might get some compensation, which may be in the form of boosters.
You need to always make sure you are connected to King's server when you play the final level of Candy Royale. The event continues offline but you need to be connected to claim the gold. I would advise every player to carry out this final check: Just before you open the final level check that you can click on player icons on the board or in your friends list. If the player card shows up you are connected to King's server.
