👽 Look who’s back… Alien Invasion

From Monday, 1st of September until Sunday, 28th of September, the Candy Kingdom will be under attack by sneaky UFOs once again! Your mission is to help Yeti, Tiffi, and friends break free from the aliens’ grasp and collect sweet rewards along the way.

This works just like Midsummer Meltdown. You’ll complete special levels, rescue characters, and open treasure chests as you move forward.

✨ New this time: If you haven’t finished your current episode yet, you’ll see a special heads-up on the map letting you know that Alien Invasion will unlock once you complete it. That way, you won’t miss out on the fun!

Now that you’ve had a chance to play a few rounds, we’d love to hear how you’re finding it!

Hello @act1979 I had posted and then deleted my own take on impossible Alien Invasion levels late last night. "virtually" impossible without boosters is probably not correct. I believe some of these levels are definitely impossible. My problem is that they seem to swallow more than the usual amount of boosters for legendary levels. I can assure you that the difficulty is not related to the level you are playing: Mine was at level 380 in the game! I played a party popper to try break through the multiple layers of frosting that were left with 4 moves remaining, and it did not work!!! I mean: I still needed to also play a UFO and even a further lollipop on my last move to finish the level. And that at level 380.

I'm working on trying to figure these levels out, but in general I think they are still not functioning like normal levels of Candy Crush because they have been patched up so many times due to their initial glitch. Over night I came to wonder if what has gone wrong here might be that they are essentially revamped cake bomb levels, but without the explosion that the cake bomb would create.

Well, well, well! They've managed to make the event hard again with what appears to be a third patch. They just couldn't stand the fact that their mess-up would help players actually enjoy this event, could they. So now I find that the levels not only require an alien order but to destroy all the blockers as well. Besides that fewer aliens appear on the boards now and in the level I've just played the last alien only drops on my last move from those dragon dropper. All this patching up is ruining the levels and now is making them too hard to pass. (wait for the complaints to roll in in the Support Forum…). Apart from my test runs I have no intention of playing this game while this event is active. It took me two UFOs to clear the latest level, as early in the game as level 305. And I had a super charger enabled. Total RUBBISH!

Yes, it does look like they may have fixed it….again.

There are dragon portals at the top and I think new aliens drop from them. You can see them here in this screenshot.

And look how many aliens I've got!

We can hope that not only does this new patch mean we won't be short of aliens, we might have some levels much easier to pass than originally intended, hopefully. This one above is more fun than legendary.

Are all the aliens on the board? Once the spaceships are gone if there are not enough aliens visible then you cannot complete the level and have to replay it. Do not spend gold bars if there are not enough aliens visible as no further aliens will appear.

Im on level 11825 & find it impossible to beat it. This seems to be no way to get all the aliens home.

This even literally ruined my 320+ levels of streak!!! I need ONE more alien but UFO is gone!!!! I can't get any aliens and it ruins my game! Will you even get my streak back? I don't think so!!

I completed collecting all four friends. I am starting all over again.

This event is still glitched:

Do NOT play a super charger combo!

Play the first two moves the game recommends and so far I have managed to avoid the glitch with this method.

I'm a finalist in the Party Popper race and I'm stuck on level 7745 because they're aren't enough aliens to finish the level. I spent 2 UFOs and 16+25+32 gold to try and compete it with no success. If I quit the level I'll lose the Super Color Bombs I'm using to try and win the competition. Can King do anything to let players restart an Alien level without losing all of our special boosters, or are do we have to quit, lose our buffs, and stay over?

This event is still glitched @LoFiGummy . It does not even require a super charger or such a combo. I failed to take a screenshot of my first board, but I played in the middle, trying to clear the path for the aliens using a coconut wheel.

These algorithms are set up in such a way that anyone playing intelligently to try to actually pass this level without playing a UFO or several boosters will be left short of aliens. As is obvious here I could pass this level if there were six aliens on the board.

So the choice is: Play strong boosters, pay for extra moves or you won't have enough aliens on the board. This is the worst "event" yet! It is rigged to fail: Play a clever move and you won't have enough aliens! Play the "correct" move and you will have to play a UFO plus a lollipop to pass:

This is evident on my next attempt, this time choosing to play without boosters.

One lollipop to the orange wrap and I pass.

This event is not just glitched, it is fraudulent. Please can someone tell them at the office and remove it from the game.

Yes, all other boards had one spare alien. And then came the board that left me two aliens short and took my supercharger. I had doubts that the event is now glitch-free because of the way they chose to fix it. It's not a real fix, but rather a workaround, which I think indicates they were not able to fully fix the code. The supercharger+wrap combo proved to be too much for that board.
