sorry if this is old news, but it’s the first time my chocolate box options have included “in new level wins”
I really don’t like this development (considering that some of the week some of us don’t have new levels to win…)

since yesterday, I no longer see the “events” icon on the bottom of my maps screen. Currently I have no access to the chocolate box. Is this change permanent?
Hi @Charleyfarley, Moderators are not given advance notice regarding changes made to special events or levels in Candy Crush Saga. Consequently, I, too, am surprised about changes to the chocolate box, but assume this is more testing being done by developers.
As volunteers, we do not keep regular hours, so I apologize if you are disappointed about how much time I spend in this Community. However, please be assured that I forward issues to management when they appear to affect many players.

That to me is the strangest part. One would think King's primary goal is to keep people in the game and active, but these chocolate box changes would seem to do the exact opposite of that, driving us away from spending time in the game.
I might as well sit it out and wait for it to expire (4 days)
I would’ve thought it was in King’s interest to have me watching ads/ playing rather than not being involved
But what do I know ?
So I completed the 2,960 blue candies at a great cost ; a complete episode later and copious gold squandered
My reward ? 4th task, 22 unplayed levels

Hi, collegeamoco. I have seen that problem a number of times - it even happened to me once yesterday. I have found that closing Candy Crush and then reopening it, and then opening the chocolate box, usually allows it to advance as it should.
The only change I have so far is that it won't update, ie go to the next one when the old one is completed. Example: collected 6 hands but won't move on to the next choice. 😔🤷♀️
Agreed. At least there is hope they have left some ability to navigate this change.

I thought I’d update it, and I’ll be honest I’ve made a significant profit on gold this morning. After passing a level (using coins to pay for extra moves) that awarded free switches for 20 minutes, I used them and this was my task for the 4th chocolate on the silver box
A new task and one that is easy to complete. So this was a pleasant surprise Running gold total of -2
Gold box (25 coins)
first option was “in new level wins” but switched to that. Easy to clear
Easy
First option was green “in new levels”. This task takes a while but no issues for me
This was the final chocolate task
I went for this as I was on a +45 level already. I spent 10 gold here to clear the level so made a profit of 15 gold on the box (plus the other boosters)
Running total of gold +13
Next gold box saw the first three chocolates be a repeat of above (colour bombs, stripes, wrapped) in different amounts. Always in first two options (with the colour + “win new levels” being the others I rejected)
So on the second gold box of the day, these were the options for the final chocolate
It doesn’t state new levels but 24 is still a large number even if you have 30 mins free striped + wrapped. This could be useful though, particularly if you have a ton of these you don’t use
standard option I try to avoid
25 extra moves again. I used this (paying 10, getting 25 back) for a profit of 15
Profit on the morning of 28 gold from one silver box and two gold boxes. I also won the episode race (25) for a total profit of 53 gold.
So if I can avoid the colors + “in new level wins” tasks, (and the final “win in first try” or “win 23 new levels”) tasks I think there’s a chance to still use chocolate box to earn gold. And I actually think that 25 moves option is favourable to the player (compared to 2/3/4 UFOs, party boosters etc)

I was thoroughly appreciating my nice normal gold chocolate boxes yesterday; I went through 4 of them in a single episode. I guess that won't be possible anymore once this goes through to everyone. Very sad.
Well that's some BS! Saw this change yesterday, hate it since then. Kings rotten ideas really know no bounds.
So you have it as well. This is not just a small test group now….
I agree that these targets are far too high if only wins in new levels count. To collect this many candies requires us to play one full episode (We know this from the Troll event) This makes the chocolate box completely unachievable for most normal crushers. To pass a gold box you would probably have to play five episodes now. Terrible!

It says 'new level wins', so no. I'm afraid it's set up in such a way that one of the first three chocolates will only have 'collect something by winning new levels' and 'use booster' tasks. The fourth chocolate is intriguing. I am wondering if there are any other possible new tasks.
Really interesting! 25 colour bombs before new levels seems odd. Do timed colour bombs count? If they do then this could be a way for players stuck at levels could be able to pass the box. There are so many events, for example the daily treat machine, which award timed colour bombs. Do those colour bombs work even if players fail the level?
This is the gold box I started today.
First chocolate:
Red candies are abundant at levels above 9000, and that was a lifesaver; collecting almost 2500 greens would take more than one episode.
Second chocolate: collect stripes on old levels.
Third chocolate:
Fourth chocolate:
Every task for this chocolate has a +5 gold bonus, so the box still rewards 25 gold, not 20. (I hope, I haven't completed it yet).
There is one new task, which is using color bombs as a pre-game booster. Unfortunately, I didn't check if it works on old levels. If it does, spending 9 gold for 30 minutes of color bomb may be the cheapest option to complete the fourth chocolate.

As soon as I got to this level it gave me an error message 'unable to win level' and kicked me out. I tried again a few times and same message. How do I get past this level? It says level needs yellow candies and no yellow candies show up so I can't even play it.
1-(the most important one) have a search bar to jump into the level you want cause scrolling from level 21000 to level one is soooo painful 2- make better game designs and make a theme for every episode added to the game and have a certain number of hard super hard nightmarish and legendary levels
