sorry if this is old news, but it’s the first time my chocolate box options have included “in new level wins”
I really don’t like this development (considering that some of the week some of us don’t have new levels to win…)

Yes @T0rr1e I am surprised that @HM100 can collect 630 red in three/four levels as I would expect it to be more like you say. I haven't reached level 7000 yet but all the previous features that have involved red candy have taken me a long time to collect.
Is anyone still seeing the old type box? In my main game the box changed to new levels only when I got to the silver box.
I get the new type in every one of my games now, so is my suspicion that this new box has been rolled out to all players now correct?
I am still getting it, it did stop for awhile but it has come back my last chocolate box on the 3rd choice were all collect different colours in new level witch I changed it until the last choice which was red candies, which took nearly a whole race to collect, I think it was 960 reds. 🙄
If your next levels you will play will be with red Candies, then you may finish it within 3 to 4 levels but if you also encounter levels without Red in addition to ones with it, then it will be in a similar difficulty as the other color collection tasks. Today, I've spotted 1000 Red candies in new levels to collect in a Chocolate box as well.
Red in new levels is easy because you need fewer to collect.
Whilst 630 red is fewer than the over 1000 of the other colours @HM100, it isn't any easier due to how the availability of red candy is limited.
Hard to know if it is being rolled out to 'all' or just rotated between groups @christinewupp. I would guess it is being delivered to the largest group of players now (no feature is available to every single player of the game), but the only way to know for sure is if people that had it first posted to say they still had it or not.
My latest Gold chocolate box is three collect coloured candy on new levels tasks and one use seven free switches. I am not going to play new levels just to complete the Box and I am not going to use seven free switches to win 25 gold bars.
True though in some episodes I played it wasn't easy as after I've seen a level with reds I seen some without it. But if the first three ones have Red, then you have the chance to finish it within those.
That depends on where you are on the map. For levels above 9000, it's indeed a nice option.

Red in new levels is easy because you need fewer to collect. I had never skipped it except in one case because I was done with the new levels for the recent gameplay. You can still close a box by using old levels only but you need to either find three special candy collection tasks or a combination of these and a booster option

I got a box in which some tasks for the fourth chocolate have +5 gold, while others don't.
I wonder if this now means that the new type box is being rolled out to all. My latest new game got it as well, from level 200 or when it first appears.
Well that change is the end for level 3428 for me then. I used to enjoy replaying that one for blues, oranges and greens. It had such a low finger work/candy output ratio, it was kind on the old joints. But as some here commented in this thread, replaying old levels had become tedious to some of us anyway. Then again, so is playing new levels…..
Oh no I got this in my Chocolate Box for the first time yesterday.
Luckily the next choice was collect striped candy on any level
Special Candy Collections count on old levels but the color collection with new level wins not on old levels, however.
I got that new one today where it won't count your goal (stripes, colors, whatever) unless you're playing a new level. Welp, so much for the chocolate box for me. I could see it if they reduced the number you need, but it's still almost 3000 orange candies (for example), which it was when it would take them on replayed levels. I guess the ONE bright spot is now I don't have to waste time watching the bonus ads to get extra moves on levels. Before I would click them all just to have a few more moves to collect candies I needed for the chocolate box, even if I knew I wouldn't win the level. Don't need to do that anymore! I guess King didn't think about the ad metrics on that.
You can change task to see if you get a special candy collection. Should you have passed 9563, replay it for those tasks (Striped, Wrapped and Color Bomb collections) and leave the new level wins tasks for the new levels. That's how I managed to close 3 such boxes today.
Got this "new level wins" objective after finishing a gold box today:
I used to replay level 1,000 for the first three chocolates, but that got me burned out. This change doesn't affect my progression much, but it is an unfortunate change for many players. I think King enables these changes on the server side, so staying on a recent (but not the most recent) update won't prevent these objectives from appearing.
With these changes, I can say that provided you finish only the color collection in new level wins tasks in new levels, keep the special candy collection tasks for old levels and get a final task that won't cost many Gold like combining 2 Color Bombs together (Can easily be finished with multiple replays of 6000), you can finally get Gold bars and boosters without ever spending some.
While I closed boxes with Party or UFOs, I usually spent some gold in addition to get the boosters unless I have timed boosts in order to have the booster inventory largely unchanged.
Now I keep the special candy collection tasks for older levels like 9563 and 16182 in some cases and keep the color collection tasks in new level wins for new levels. If possible, please try my strategy above. This caused the completion of 3 boxes in the recent gameplay I did with just 5 episodes.
The chocolate box used to be fun to pick the right task to help us get boosters and gold bars since we could go to different levels to help. Well, the developers have now taken that away by making us pass new levels to get the colored candies needed. It is hard enough to pass these levels without boosters or gold bars and now we have to pass them to get colored candies to help us get boosters. What a dilemma. Just once it would be nice for the developers to add something to make it fun again.
