I have a bunch of friends who never send lives when asked. Any suggestions?

I find issues with lives the most difficult to fully understand. The following won't necessarily help but it is a bit of an explanation.
Are your friends sending you lives or not, who really knows. Some time ago I wasn't receiving any lives but fortunately I have many in the Community who are in my Friends List, so I was able to ask them in the Community. They were sending me lives and it took weeks for whatever the reason was that stopped them coming through to correct itself, I then started getting them again.
Have you checked your friends Player Cards to see if they actually send lives and if so how many. For those who don't send any, you could just delete them.
With regard requesting lives, we do know that once you have requested, until that person sends it to you anymore requests you send to that person won't show on their device. So it's possible you have a few friends who haven't clicked on your previous request. It's possible some of your friends are like me, I have an old device with the game app on but I don't play on it. Recently I opened it and saw I had 4 life requests, now I don't know if they had been there for days, weeks or months. So anyone with more than one device with the game on could be getting your requests on one that they don't use anymore, difficult.
A couple more things you could try is to send all in your list a few lives without requesting and see if they send you any back. You could also copy your 'Can we be Candy friends' link and attach to a post in the Community asking others to click on it and be your friend.

When I ask for lives I always send one back.
Go through your friend list if they haven't been active for ages unfriend them.

I had this same issue before. A lot of my friends never sent lives back. What I did was start adding random players to increase my chances.
At the start of every episode, you’ll usually see other players scattered across the map — I always send friend requests to those players. Same thing with the weekly contest leaderboard, and even events like Candy Royale or other tournaments. Just send requests to the people you’re competing with.
Over time, you’ll build up a big list of active players. The more friends you have, the higher your chances of getting lives when you send requests.
