Thanks @Alienscar I thought I'd lost the plot and I was right. Oh well something else to confuse new and long standing members of the Community. Why couldn't things have just been kept simple, open a thread and everything was just there 🙄
I know the answer to that, King are running out of ideas of how much more they can ruin the game, so they've now switched to the Community 🤨

When you open a question that has an accepted answer you only get to see the question and the accepted answer.
To see the full conversation you can either click on the view in context button, or click on the Comments button at the top of the thread you are reading.
Accepted Answers is the default view, so that is why you only see one reply when you open some threads.
Something else @QueenB it may have already been mentioned but I've kind of lost the plot. When opening a thread I only see one reply and at the bottom of that reply is 'View in Context'
When clicking on that all the comments get shown. Oh my giddy aunt, what is going on, how is this meant to make things easier and friendlier 🥴
There is a well known saying @christinewupp that says "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"
Your self-help book shows the pictorial representation of this saying.
We provide feedback over and over again with no sign that it is being listened to, so if we want different results we have to do something different
With regard responses, if I just click on them it says the same as yours 'can't react to your own post'. I have to hold my finger on the response until the list (or the one) shows, but it doesn't always work first time.
If a player click on them on his/her own post, 'can't react to your own post' appears. How can you discover this feature? By user manual? By accident?
Did you know that some games created by King have this funny feature too? If you use a special method to hit an icon in a event, the boosters prizes will appear immediately 🤭🤭
Oh well @christinewupp I'll use my favorite Community word of the moment 'Messy'. It is a mess that hopefully will get sorted at some stage, sooner rather than later. We all have to do what's best for ourselves, but I hope you do stay and keep giving feedback to Queenie to try and get a decent site back 🤞

In fact trying to even comment in this comment box broke this website for me so I had to completely reload the Discussions page. I have found that responding to a tag does this a lot.
To answer your other question though: Am I a fighter or am I a quitter?

I think of this cartoon a lot when I read my way about this community. Quitting isn't a failure. If we are not getting anywhere with our repeated efforts then quitting might the wise thing to do.
Exactly @Nobody1 I'm still staying hopeful and 🤞they will be removed. Not sure why they were added in the first place as it really isn't an improvement for the Community. Kept repeating myself but it needs saying, it messes with the flow of the thread, posts being all over the place 😳
Please note, QueenB, that the problem here isn't that "some people prefer not to use subthreads". The problem is that people are allowed to use them at all. When anyone uses subthreads, it ruins the experience for everyone, because it is too difficult then to see what is new within an overall thread. The option to use subthreads needs to be removed entirely so that no one can choose to use it. Keeping subthreads as an option which some can choose to use is a huge step backward for this community.
I can't see what I'm writing as it flicks off the page. This is my fourth attempt and suddenly it works.
I want to say thanks for continuing to share your feedback and experiences, especially when things feel different or difficult. We know the new layout takes some getting used to, and it's clear some parts aren’t working the way they should.
A small tip I wanted to share (and thank you again Carol for showing it!): if you prefer not to use the subthread reply button, you can use the quote icon (the two eyes 👁👁)
That gives you a more classic reply flow that keeps everything in the main thread. I’ll use it myself here so you can see how it works in action 🙂
We’re listening to everything you’re sharing but these things do take time to improve, but please know your feedback is helping shape that direction 🫡

What I meant to say is: yes, the quote icon (the two eyes 👀) is the simpler reply option, especially for those who prefer to respond directly to another comment without starting a new subthread.
I completely understand that not everyone finds subthreads intuitive or useful, so it's good to know this option still gives a more traditional reply flow 🙌
Thanks @QueenB 😊 hopefully it can be changed to show all, otherwise it seems a bit pointless. Not saying I normally even get 5 reactions but on the odd occasions I do it would be nice to know who bothered 😂
Thanks for following up Carol! You're not doing anything wrong at all, it’s just how the current setup displays reactions.
Once more than five players react to a post, it only shows the first five avatars and the total count (like +2), but unfortunately it doesn’t let us expand or view who the others are.
I know that can feel a bit limited when you’re trying to follow the conversation or just want to see who else reacted, so I’ll make sure to pass that on to the team as feedback.

Yes and no @michimune it has always been possible to view who has reacted to one of your posts, so that aspect isn't new. The recent change to this forum seems to limit the number of names displayed to five though and once more than five have used the same reaction to a post only avatars of the first five people to react are displayed and a number for the other people. Only showing avatars after the number of reactions exceeds five is what is new.
No it isn't a new feature @michimune I'm referring to the responses we can get after commenting, the Helpful, Sweet, Love and Haha.

Ummm it's a difficult one Christine @christinewupp I mean the change to the Community. I don't think any of us mind change as long as it's change for the better. I've never used my PC to play the game or for the Community. Only ever used mobiles, and I really can't see how this is making anyone's experience smoother, friendlier or more fun, quite the opposite.
But it does appear to be the same as what King do with features, new levels, side games etc in the game. Release them without testing and wait to see what players/members think. 😕
I can't believe the update didn't include translations, that is such a shame. We've been told that is being looked into, but surely that should have been looked into and included before making the change, another big step backwards.
Also I think it's a shame signatures weren't added, they are cute and were always a fun part to see. It has been said this update couldn't include signatures, so why use this particular update 😕
Like others, I'm not a fan of the subthreads and won't use them, it messes with the thread and there's no proper flow. Also what happens when all the subthread replies have been used. You like testing so let's give it a go, I'll go back and reply to you then you reply to me, see how many we get before it stops.
Of course you feel like quitting, it's become a big part of your life, and it is very different/messy but hopefully over time it will become better/easier, with more changes that are needed. Now what are you, a quitter or a fighter, shoulders relaxed, deep breaths and keep pushing for a better Community 😊
I can never find out who has responded any more by clicking on those icons. I was advised to go into my profile and click on the post there. All I ever see is the notice that I can't react to my own post. I have no idea any more how this community works and am sick of it as well as the game which has become unplayable. I am close to quitting.

I know what to do to see who has responded to a post, but when it exceeds five responses this happens and I can't find a way to identify who any of them are. What am I not doing right 🤔

There is a long delay on a lot of threads showing who last commented. I've also had very long delays with being notified of either tags or someone commenting on one of my threads. One time it was over 3 hours and another time the following day. As said this may already have been highlighted 🤔
