When I see other people tag other users on the community, the user's name is a link to view their profile and people can see that they were mentioned. When I try to do it, it just asks like I typed out any other word.

It is OK. You don't need to apologize for anything. Before we proceed, when you mentioned Java the first time you had an error, I assume you were using a computer and not a Mobile Device, was I right? If you were using a computer, is your Operating System Windows 10?
The Control Panel is a component of Windows where you can view and change your System Settings. Java is one of the important Programs that is normally pre-installed in every computer. It is very important that this is enabled and updated. You can set it to automatically update on Windows.
I am not going to overwhelm you with information. I would like to know if you remember the error you encountered that mentioned Java. If you know the link of that posting, please give me the link to it. I would like to read it again.

I am still trying to figure out what your problem is. Do you remember the error you mentioned in one of your postings about Java Plug-in? If you could check your version in the Control Panel, see if it is current, we might be able to fix your problem here.
Maybe this is a glitch! Let’s see if anyone else writes about this too.
What confuses me is that I've successfully tagged people before. now all of a sudden it doesn't work.
I am so used to using my computer to do messages here that I totally forgot about mobile! Thanks @Crimson_Dawn for reminding me about this.
I am forced to access the community through the help center in Candy Crush. The problem I had with liking people's post got fixed somehow. Unfortunately, I will be gone most of the day.
Hi guys, @mercerik is correct that once you type the name you should get the drop down box and then you have to click on the name. There shouldn't be a problem @Crimson_Dawn with the list loading. What browser are you using? Or are you on mobile? Clear out the history and try it again? I will be here off and on all day today.
I think your problem has something to do with Java Runtime Environment in connection with your browser. You mentioned the issue with Java in one of your postings. Were you able to resolve that?

Let's start over. Try to follow the sequence I have in the Screen Shot. Type @ followed by the first 3 letters of my username which is mer. Now do you see the exact pop-up or dropdown on your Screen? If you do, the next step is to click on the third username on the list. It should show @mercerik in Bold letters. If you run your mouse to it, it turns to green. When you click on it, it takes you to my Profile. Do you see that? If you see it exactly at it appears here, then you are ready to tag anyone in this Community.

When I type your username, a drop down menu opens since there are other usernames similar to yours. I click on your correct username and the whole thing is taken in Bold Letters as you see on top of my message in text. I have another Screen Shot to show you the dropdown menu on mine. Do you see this when you type my username? All you need to do is pick my correct username from the list. Try tagging me.

To Tag someone, you'll have to type "@" before his/her name.
Anyone else have an issue with the booster wheel not letting you spin? Mine says come back in xxx hours for the next spin, but the next spin never comes. I am so stuck on level 7280 and I need some booster help!!
