sorry if this is old news, but it’s the first time my chocolate box options have included “in new level wins”
I really don’t like this development (considering that some of the week some of us don’t have new levels to win…)

Looks good. So Special Candy Collection tasks can now appear again on the second chocolate/task or it was a lucky moment that Wrapped appeared on second task. If so, then can you get Color task that needs new level wins on 1st chocolate as well. Can you get Wrapped on 1st task any longer? I already know that you can no longer get W+W task on tasks where the collection tasks are set to appear.
Otherwise, if you get wrapped on 2nd task, chances are that you might have got colors in new level wins on 1st chocolate.

Yes, I definitely got the purple collection task for the second chocolate yesterday. For the third and fourth chocolate I keep getting the 'choose boosters before levels' tasks that I keep doing on old levels. Much better than getting stuck with the dreaded 'use 10 switches'.
Good thought I guess you haven't seen the recent development done on the box that has almost unavoidable color in new level wins tasks in the second task in your accounts yet judging that you made progress on two whole boxes without new levels unless you did and somehow found the Purple task that only needs level wins on the second task.
Also, the old Season pass seems to be gone to accounts who no longer have the Events tab so its a bonus. But the recent changes I've mentioned also exclude the booster tasks from the first tasks and are in the last ones instead.
Lets hope the fourth task is not booster only on Silver+ boxes as on the aforementioned Silver Box it was this way (But the 3rd task also had pregame booster). But I will recheck while possible.
Also you might have hit the purple task that only needs a level win in the second task on your previous boxes. Not seen it on the Silver box I've done before.
I am pleased to report that with the help of timed boosters from the weekly contest I was able to finish my 40 gold box and fill two 25 gold boxes this morning playing no new levels, only using old ones. Also I have found that the annoying Season Pass animations don't show up now on a Tuesday if we don't play any new levels. So that's a bonus and helps fill the chocolate boxes more quickly.
With these changes, regular Silver and Gold boxes can no longer be completed without new level wins as you'll be surely forced in the second task
That would be a terrible development. I somehow avoided those new level wins in two yesterday's boxes. Now I am looking at the red collection task for the second chocolate in today's box and I think I will accept it. It will only take me half an episode. Thanks for the warning.
Other changes on non-elite boxes:
As a plot twist, Jelly, Frosting and Liquorice clearance task as well as Jelly Fish (Not seen yet) is also on Classic Boxes. With these changes, regular Silver and Gold boxes can no longer be completed without new level wins as you'll be surely forced in the second task

18373 is also a great Level for purple (For old style box or for the Purple in Levels that you win) in Chocolate Box. 9997 is also another ones. Lately the Purple task in Old Style box was done using many Star Tournament levels though in some cases I do skip it if I don't want to move into another level from 12296 where I usually use it for the box alongside 9563.

16194 is a very purple number.
Level 1000 is a loooong scrolling down… But, I now grab anything that is doable on old levels with both hands, so it will have to do 🙂
Well, there's level 1000. Assuming all colours drop equally you get 400 purple in about two minutes. I think that's okay and quicker than any new level collection. It would equate to twelve minutes for 2400 purple. You no longer get that much of any colour in one episode, which will always take longer than twelve minutes. I think I'll go for that if this option shows up in my game.
I would always, always skip purple in the old-style box because of the lack of really good levels. And this task requires winning levels, unlike the old box, so maybe not a glitch, but a new task added for variety.
I'm not convinced this is a deliberate experiment. It may be a glitch. I cannot see much reasoning behind this applying to purple but not other colours.
I do know that players can collect colors under all levels. But the new style was brought without the ability to collect colors from old levels and from failures in Silver and Gold box. The previous version does not need new levels or victory for the color collections (Same for the new ones in Classic and Bronze boxes). They just experiment with allowing old levels on color collection tasks on new-style Silver and Gold Boxes as well but with the treatment that was initially applied to new-style Bronze boxes where you must finish the level to have them as collected (Now these boxes contain color tasks that work with failures too but have additional tasks).
Also I did mention about the new-style box, not the old-ones where color tasks do not need new levels, all of the new tasks are missing and UFO task not requiring 5 to be used in a Gold Box.
I think you are newbie on chocolate box, so you don't know a player can collect colour candies from any levels is an original feature. As this is an existing feature, they don't need to do any Experiments 😄😄😄
