G'day, here is an updated postmortem of my Qualifier round. I finished at Episode 300 exactly (RIP 300 level) in eight episodes. Below are my results and my gold progression.

My Cohort
In my cohort, the qualifying score is 5339.
This is easily covered by two of the "collect candy colors from new level wins" of the non-Elite gold box (three or four episodes).
The top contesant crushed over 45k blue candies. I am not sure if he used a hex boost, but he definitely did too much for a chest that offered neither gold nor major boosters. I am the only one to maintain a long episode and level win streak.
Plans for the First Knockouts
I should be able to qualify for the second knockouts by playing an average of two to three episodes per day (The four full days, plus the final countdown), with more or less depending on timing the Gold Box, weekly booster drops, and keeping watch in the final hours.
I will start at Episode 301, and I estimate that six episodes are required for me to qualify to the second Knockouts.
Gold Economy
I should remain fully gold positive throughout the first knockouts.
Each pair of episodes will provide 120 GB per Friday or weekend day (two episodes as expected to complete a cooldown box if one of the requirements require using rare boosters). Each pair of episodes will provide 95 GB per two episodes on a weekday, preferably on a Thursday (two episodes expected to complete the reviled "collect candy colours from new level wins"). More gold bars can be earned from Royales, advertisements, and tournament chests.
- I can use at most three UFOs to stay gold positive on a weekday. Four UFOs to stay gold positive on a weekend.
- I can use at most two Party Boosters to stay gold positive on a weekday. Three Party Boosters to stay gold positive on a weekend.
I should be able to qualify to the second knockouts in eight to ten episodes. This means I should be able to complete five gold or cooldown boxes. I will be at Episode 310 at that point.
Other events
The Double Colour Bomb is a particular powerful event. I received my Double Colour Bomb on Monday, in which I will activate it on the evening of Thursday to make extra progress on the Gold Boxes.
A Candy Royale will also provide me extra Gold Bars, though I also received it on Monday.
I will time my Ads Quest and Daily Stamps so that one of the contest days will start with a UFO and Party Booster pass.
In overall, the first knockout should not pose any threat, and I am expected to reach the next knockout unless many players used the hexboost. I will also keep my win streaks, and place first on the next Weekly Contest.
