Final knockout round 1: Strategies

Only one day to go! Are you all excited?

To be honest, I'm kind of excited and currently in the process of working out my strategy for the remainder of All Stars.

If anyone hasn't seen my post about spending money, please read it because it contains vital information I don't want to repeat here.

This year we are all going blindly into these final knockout rounds because of the new multiplier tokens. So it makes it harder to decide on a strategy.

What's yours?

Some of the strategies that were recommended in previous years no longer work, so please be aware of this. Don't google it or ask ChatGPT! They don't know the answer because the app and the event have changed so much over the past twelve months.

Watch this space for an update once the round gets going: I will join early to spy on the round to see how many players are on each leaderboard and will let everyone know here.

I will share my own starting strategy later.

So here is another discovery I have made. They do just keep flooding in. I'm playing a different account in the second chance round right now and came across this level:

It has four colours and I failed on my first attempt. On this first attempt the app told me I'd have scored 356 blues if I played on. That was kind of tempting but I decided to replay and eventually payed 10 gold for 55 extra moves. I found that one colour was dropping much, much less than the other three during the additional moves : blue. In fact after I had played all 29+55 moves my score on the leaderboard only went up by about 485 blue.

I think this is to even out the playing field. These episodes are generally very good for blues and I scored 6000 over two episodes. I now suspect that the app makes sure that no player can score more than 3000 average per episode.

Are you all seeing the super charger and Candy Royale?

I have had the Super Charger and Candy Royale in every round of the competition that I have played. Haven't you?

I suppose this will be the end of the journey for me as my normal game play style of just one Episode a day/week won't be competitive at all

Maybe I will try two Episodes and all my tokens at once to see if I can make it to the Second Knockout

Yes i have also offered candy royale and supercharger,i just wait tomorrow and start crushing like crazy and we will see it,do i need to use tokens or not! Time is important and of course have to be fast on levels also. Good luck all of you crushers.

All of my accounts are being offered the super charger and Candy Royale today as soon as I made one attempt at the next level. I think we are, for the duration of All Stars, all playing "the same game" for once? Are you all seeing the super charger and Candy Royale?

My strategy for now is identical in all accounts: I am not starting the next episode until I join the final knockout. As I have four accounts I will stagger the entry times/days. I've taken a leap of faith with my strategy based on findings posted in the other threads during the earlier rounds: I decided to fail the starting level of the episode and get kicked out of Candy Royale today in all my accounts. I will not play any new levels or start the next episode until I am ready to play the final knockout round. I expect the super charger will then be available for the beginning of my competition after I have played the first four levels.

I will NOT play any multiplier tokens until the very end of the round and of course only if required by the scores. So I might have to crush through quite a lot of levels to try get there without using a token.

This means there won't be much input here from me during the next rounds as I will be very busy!

But I'll keep you updated about any important findings that might be of relevance to others.
