If you still had a lot of gold bars and you got hit by the wall of the impossible..

Don't waste boosters and gold on easy levels. Easy levels were only located at the 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th and the last level of the episode.
Just send lives to the friends. Using this technique multiple times is another way of getting unlimited lives. But due to limits of 20, just change the date and time to get infinite lives, and if you want to go back to the correct date, click on ”set time automatically.”
The best way to buy gold immediately once you're out of Moves were 45 move counts and 1 pc ufo booster

Sorry but yes I thought I'd better edit that out before I saw your reply, so actually my post no longer suggests spending 69 gold for 6 hours lives.

Buying 69 gold is a waste for me. Oh yeah and I forgot, the best way to buy gold outside the 45 Moves is the train thingy where you get timed boosters as rewards. The best way for me was to wait and get the 0 live chance

Please could anyone note that my best advice is to NOT use the clock trick Johan mentions above, which is the only known "cheat" that can be found on the internet.

You are ill advised to do this for several reasons:

If you cross the finish time line of events you risk losing access to the event for good
You lose your timed boosters, which are the strongest way to progress in the game. Timed boosters will disappear when we set the clock ahead beyond their finish time!
If you have lots of gold as the header suggests: The best way currently is to skip (use the cogwheel on the bottom left of the level screen to exit) each failed skull level on attempt no.2 and then pay the 10 gold bars on your third attempt when the game will offer you +25 moves + a UFO. You are unlikely to run out of lives this way, especially if you have 20 lives from friends.
