It's about time.....Part Two

It's about time I followed all the advice I gave myself in Part 1.

It's about time I started to ignore posts made by spammers, AI or players trying to sell their YouTube channels.

It's about time I stopped worrying about or trying to point out all the failures of this community site.

It's about time I stopped being nice and patient for niceness's sake. If a post is gibberish then it does not deserve a reply.

It's about time I stopped giving advice to people who clearly only want someone from King to answer them.

However:

If we want there to be a place for real players to discuss real issues and offer real useful advice, quitting will just make this place a community of King automatons and any Tom Dick or Henrietta masquerading as game experts to take over. Do we want this to happen @Carol-38 ?

The problem is that while it's too hot to go outside, and we're stuck indoors with the fan on, there really isn't much else to do but play Candy Crush or surf the community.

I have found that while trying out this and that in my game I feel the urge to share my findings. The game is only enjoyable to me if I can share what I find out. It's who I am. So I'll probably come back with some tips and achievements, but I'll post them here in the Candy Corner.

Meanwhile, if anyone wants tips on how to survive the heatwave those on the BBC news site are really good.

You are not the only one! There have been several others lately, I am getting the impression it is now becoming common. King probably support this, so you're okay. King do use the advice to create online content in one of their stock answers for people asking how to make real money from Candy Crush. However I personally do object to people who have posted nothing else, nor joined any discussions, but who just come here as newbies and post a link to their channels or websites. Or they make a few useless comments or copy some advice from Google or ChatGPT (easy to spot as it's often out of date advice) in order to get up their community ratings so that they can then post their link. I find those suspicious, but I feel I am wasting my time reporting them as King's representation in this community is itself becoming more and more automated with standardised and predictable replies.

That is essentially what I meant by those words. I've wasted too much of my time trying to work out who is real and who is AI for years. It's ME, not them. I have a problem here: I get too involved. So the answer is to stop interacting. That's what I meant.

I am asking, which type of YouTube channels are you specifically selling? The generic Candy Crush livestreams?

I have started documenting my streak and playstyle as the game evolves, to see how to play the game without being dependent on the extra moves bonuses. What is different is that it is clearly separated by episode boundaries, and is there for documentary purposes.

My Stage 6 group had 73 participants.

Indeed, I have started livestreaming all of my future attempts to see how much King has ruined Candy Crush Saga. My streak still stands and my gold balance is still at 7000.

Thanks for the data @michimune . I've been suspecting that the number of participants went down compared to the past years. That's why they allowed nearly everyone to participate regardless of their gold stash size. Also, there were only 73 players in my group in stage six compared to 97 the previous year.

They have been losing players for years, and I don't mean All Stars participants but the entire player base. The response has always been the more and more aggressive monetization of those who remain. In that regard I'm very curious how the dreaded Wheel (which I don't yet have) will fare. It looks like King are shooting themselves in the foot here.

By the way, I don’t get the 🤬wheel so far.

I've now added my voice to the "feedback" thread for the wheel. I think King are making a huge mistake if they keep it. It sucks the last bit of fun out of the game, not just for you but for millions. I am actually hopeful they might drop it as they risk losing too many players. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

🤣 @christinewupp I returned yesterday from my hols in Greece It was great sitting on a sunbed, under a big umbrella with a frappe, checking and bashing my repies out in the Community. Swimming in the sea every now and again to cool down. Came back to even hotter weather, unfortunately not close enough to a beach to cool down now 🥵.

Not a lot at the moment to comment on in the Community apart from the 🤬🤬🤬 Wheel, and as I said in another post, if this does become permanent in the game, and everyone gets it, can you imagine the barrage of posts we'll get 🥴

I'm so pleased you haven't disappeared, and as you said bits and pieces here and there to try and keep the Community with some kind of sense. I know @Alienscar has got fed up and that's a real shame. But hopefully not for too long, there needs to be a little bit of familiarity from those posting to make it worth staying.

So yes, look forward to what you are going to share, but just keep it fun for yourself and ignore the Tom, Dick and Henriettas 🤗🤭
