It has become fashionable to post one's achievements here lately, so I thought I'll contribute and show off as well. Just to prove that we don't have to be playing the "easy" lower ranges of the game to play without spending money or watching hundreds of boring adverts. Occasionally I sit through one advert, never three though. If it takes three ads I'd rather pay the gold instead: Time is money, they say.

So my latest achievements:

To get us in the mood, how about this fun new game: Reach exactly the same number of gold bars as your level number.

Who can copy this? Anyone up for this challenge?

I was going to try to hit this target again, but my gold balance is running away with it, so those paths won't cross again unless I waste a lot gold.

I've won the "team" quest all on my own:

But here comes an even greater achievement :

I've managed to play some really fun levels. I managed to find them before they got eaten up by the AI-Monster and replaced with orange slices. I've played two levels where you have to allow chocolate to grow in order to pass (!), and I'm not telling the AI-Monster where those are hiding, plus I've come across two levels that allowed me to achieve the maximum score for the football event (=1000 blues)! The frog has made a few appearances again, and there are lots of wonderful wrapper levels plus some where strategy still matters.

I know this won't last because I've been here before: After 18,000 the levels get dull and AI generated. But let me see how far I get. None of these levels can't be as boring as playing level 1-5000.

Thanks for the tip about level 45. I worked really hard on the double color bomb combos on level 430.

Interesting. Unfortunately, I can't test it myself, as I skipped the Soccer Leagues to focus on finally reaching the end of the map.

I've made an interesting discovery with regards to limits to blue candy collections: The game will tell us if we've reached the limit even in older levels. I never realised this before, but it can help players practise and find levels that can produce such amounts of blue. I do wish I knew whether the limit really has gone down for me. I came across it when I scrolled back to the best level for striped candies to quickly fulfil the order for the gold chocolate box. The dragon got trapped naturally, like it often does in this level, and needs to then be moved with a hand switch if you want to pass. I just wonder if I really got 1000 blue candies. I cannot believe that this level produced that much without extra moves. I will go back to check if it does it again tomorrow, or after I have completed the episode in which I made 1000 blues.

I found the same. All (or most) episodes that have a good level also have one or more newly redesigned ones that are good for nothing, apparently to balance the good ones.

I've very much been getting the impression that is exactly what they have been trying to do for the past year, but per episode or maybe even per three episode cluster. So yes, some levels produce more blues, but the game then tends to add levels that will produce none to balance that out. I have noted this happen in my blue counting tests. The early levels (pre 4000) are very uniform. The earliest episodes will reliably give 1600 blue candies, almost without fail, if you play the levels as intended.

I reached the limit naturally and within the given moves on one level during stage 5. Chances are it will not survive until the next year, though.

As for lowering the limit further, this will make the way we play levels completely irrelevant, and the only thing that will matter is how many levels we pass. Why bother counting candies then, why not just count levels?

change again in 2027 to 500, the total amount of players still playing in the countries who can actually take part in the tournament 🤣.

Funny (not) how the game seems to revolve around All Stars, rather than giving pleasure to those who play, every week, all year round. Especially those who don't get a chance to play in All Stars. I'm still holding on to see what happens, can't say I'm really missing it that much though. And I'm sure many who actually pay a lot of money a month to play will get fed up and stop playing and paying as well 🙃

This morning I played another new fun game:

The frog vs the fish.

It was a hard struggle which cost me 30 gold bars as repeatedly my frog failed to keep those fishes at bay in this level:

First of all I was surprised that this level even exists and hasn't been complained about, since it cannot be beaten by following the suggested moves, and the jelly fish go for the toffee in preference to the keys, so it must take players tons of extra moves to pass this unless they are experts at using the frog, which few people nowadays are.

The first three times I failed in my aim (which was to reach maximum blues) because once the lucky candies are opened up the fish will go for the rainbow twists and the dragon will slide past the frog if all is cleared at the same time. So I failed on this occasion even though I placed my frog strategically (not shown in this screenshot, but those who know will know where I placed it):

On this next attempt I failed miserably as well, because the blasted UFO blasted away just the candies needed to clear everything up:

This UFO , being more clever than the fishes, means that players will pass this level if they pay for extra moves. And that is why the game gives us these UFOs now in addition to the extra moves: It's to make levels like this one passable for those who, well, I don't want to offend anyone so I won't call them a by name. So that is why players aren't reporting this one. I still wonder why no one at King's actually sifts through these levels to take these out strategically. I guess the answer is that no one at King's actually plays the game now or understands how these older levels work. They keep bringing in changes to weed out the All Stars cheaters year after year. They really thought the jelly fish would do the job in 2026, but how naive was it to think that: Real people are cleverer than the stupid AI they've left in charge. The players are still winning this arms race and my guess is it will still be the case next year.

So here is the next attempt, without the UFO, since it only shows up on every other attempt:

There are only six more rainbow twists to get, so if I DON'T play the colour bomb + green stripe combo here, which probably would send the dragon flying past the frog again, I match the three yellow lucky candies in the top row. And that does the job:

So now no fishes or combos of any kind will finish this level. It took me a total of 87 my extra moves to finish:

So now the folk at King's are wrecking their brains out how to stop this kind of behaviour before next year's tournament. And, I'm sorry @Carol-38 , one of the means they're trialling is that 🤬Wheel! I could only do this because I don't see it in my game. However there is a much simpler solution: Reduce the blue limit further. No level actually gives more than 500 blue in its natural course now, in fact few even give more than 300. I think King have already implemented some cut-off if we do this more than once in the same episode: When I found an even better level a short while later the limit banner showed up surprisingly early, no way had I collected 1000 blues by then, so perhaps the limit goes down if we hit it more than once in one episode or within a certain time frame. So there are ways for the app to deal with this which does not require it to remove the last few remaining fun levels nor have the dreaded wheel. An even more logical alternative would be to go back to a limit of +35 extra moves the way it used to be a few years ago and actually make sure that all levels are passable with that amount of additional moves! How hard can it be to implement that?

For me it was just a fun exercise. In fact my points didn't get added since I had the app open on a second device, but I really don't care about that. It's an academic exercise and the frog won.
