New gold chocolate boxes tasks take wayyyyy too long

On my recent challenges of the chocolate boxes, the tasks that are required to get the reward are absurdly long, they require too much of everything.

Take this one exemple:

27 combinations of pure color bombs, I’m lucky if I can get 1 in a level! In addition to that, this task completes a QUARTER of the chocolate box, this is nonsense. All tasks are on the same difficulty level as this one!

In fact the "use boosters during levels" task counts all boosters used during a level, not just those depicted on the image. So timed UFOs can be used for this task, as can a timed party popper or the timed striped brush you might get from the weekly race chest.

The booster objectives can further be divided into three kinds:
* Use starting boosters (either Color Bomb, Striped & Wrapped, or any; can stash passes or use Season Pass or Candy Pins, otherwise by Daily Treat Machine, otherwise a 9 GB price)
* Use boosters during levels (either Lollipop Hammer, or any (Free Switch is former, thanks to the hands test); requires completing worlds or placing 1st on the Weekly contest to see, cannot be bought, but both can be farmed only via Sweet Cinema)
* Use a specific rare booster (either UFO or Party Booster; UFOs might be farmed using Ads Quest once every six days, Party Booster pass requires Daily Win, so Party Booster objectives are not farmable)

I must preemptively say that plenty of luck was involved in tonight's CCS session.

Tonight, I closed two gold chocolate boxes. The second gold chocolate box didn't require me to play any new levels. If my memory serves me right:

Objective 1: Perform 11 striped + wrapped combinations. Used level 5,886
Objective 2: Collect 3,050(?) purple candies from level wins. Used level 2,000
Objective 3: Play 29 levels with the color bomb booster selected. Purchased 30 minutes of timed color bomb for 9 gold bars, then used level 3,353
Objective 4: Perform 25(?) color bomb + color bomb combinations. Used level 3,353

I rerolled that last objective a few times. Because the gold chocolate box gave me 25 gold bars, my net gain was 16 gold bars.

Once again, there was plenty of luck involved. You will not always get favorable objectives.

To finish gold chocolate boxes as quickly as possible, know that some objective types are a lot better than others:

Farmable objectives: These are the best by far. You can go to a previous level and play it a bunch of times. Know which levels are good for purple candies, various special candy combinations, various special candies, etc. Sometimes, you want to find a level that you can complete a bunch of times really quickly just to finish the objective faster.
New level objectives: These tend to be quite bad. Most color objectives (excluding purples) require new levels.
Booster objectives: These are incredibly situational. They're usually meant to be quick to complete, but they're also expensive. Only go for these if you have timed boosters ready or can get those timed boosters for really cheap. It helps to find a level that you can complete a bunch of times really quickly.

I don't know what level you're on, but you'll find some excellent levels as you make progress. Take note of those levels and use them to your advantage when you can.

I agree 💯! It takes too long to get a candy, much less a whole box of them. Especially, when you're trying to get the box filled where you get 40 bars. I seldom get that one filled

My top picks are 6000 and its number doubled (Guess the level number), 18809 (Not sure as I have yet to explore this level again), 20000 (Starts with CB+CB). 3129 can work as you can get many Color Bombs together.

Yes, I usually get two combinations each time. I use it pretty often when my secondary game hasn't reached level 2000 yet. You can also get a combination at level 201.

Have you tried this lately @dia_candy ? I've just tried it and could not get a single double colour bomb combo out of it (except after my last move). However, for anyone below 2000: Level 45 does work and gives two double combos per attempt, plus it's a sure pass level. But it takes a bit of thinking and planning to get the combos whereas level 2000 is good for anyone and quicker.

That's dreadful only for anyone who hasn't reached level 2000 yet. If you have reached level 2000 then you need to replay it 14 times to fulfil this task. It's not so bad since the new version finishes even more quickly than the old one did. It will take less than five minutes for the 27 double colour bomb combos @tank45b What level are you at?

Part of the strategy with the chocolate box tasks is to find levels that are good for completing them. Need a lot of color bombs or CB+CB combinations? Level 3,353 is your friend. Need a lot of striped candies or S+S combinations? Level 3,416 is your friend. Need a level that you can complete a bunch of times really quickly? Check out level 4,181. I don't know where you are in the map, but surely there are other levels available to you where you can complete objectives really quickly.
