I would like to suggest adding an account deletion grace period for King accounts

Sometimes players accidentally delete their account or lose access to their email. In those situations, having a recovery period (for example, 30 days or 7days) before permanent deletion would help many players recover their accounts and game progress.

Many modern puzzle games, including Royal Match, provide a deletion waiting period before an account is permanently removed. A similar feature in Candy Crush Saga would improve player confidence and prevent the permanent loss of years of progress due to mistakes.

Please consider adding an account deletion grace period in a future update. I believe many players would appreciate this feature.it is just a simple features for Saving progress not a big think.👍👍👍

I suggest you post this in Discussions if you wish for it to be discussed and stay on topic. Anyhow, hardly anyone here comes to the Candy Corner. Also there is an Ideas section for ideas, so you might want to post your suggestion there. If you want a reply from a King representative your best bet is to post in the Support forum. All of these can be accessed by one of the green circles at the top of this page.

The Candy Corner is more to do with general chatting and off topic discussions should be acceptable here. Good luck!

@christinewupp I think there may be some misunderstanding. My personal account issue and my suggestion are two different topics. I shared my personal situation only to explain why this feature would be valuable.
The fact that King may not automatically delete inactive accounts does not change the benefit of having a proper account deletion grace period. If a player intentionally requests account deletion by mistake, a 7–30 day recovery period could prevent permanent loss of years of progress. Many games already offer this safeguard, and I believe it would be a useful quality-of-life feature for Candy Crush Saga as well.
Everyone is welcome to have a different opinion, but I hope the discussion stays focused on the feature suggestion itself.

My views are outdated and old because I am old and outdated, @KungFuPandaX. Someone once called me the "Yoda of Candy Crush". I kind of liked that. I remember the days before we had mobile phones, that is how ancient I am!

Your own problem seems to be unrelated to the request you originally posted about.

To answer your problem (rather than the issue of a grace period, which is unrelated):

There is in fact no need to use an existing email in order to save a game of Candy Crush nor to retrieve such a game. I have used a made-up email in the past, forgot about that account, but was able to retrieve this game three years later from King's server. It appears that King never delete any saved accounts.

There is no need to confirm your email in order to save a King email account nor to access that account later and retrieve it. On the login page, choose the bottom option "Already have a King account : Login with email" , then type in the email you used to create the account and the password into the fields and your game will be loaded. It works for me again and again and has never failed to load a saved account. I have never had to send or receive a confirmation email. It pops up but that page is easy to click out of or just close the app and reload the app to get out of it.

@christinewupp Your way of thinking is really outdated and strange. That kind of approach doesn't work anymore. It's as old as Candy Crush Saga itself. Honestly, it's kind of funny,but i understand your point. However, my situation is different. I didn't intentionally delete my Candy Crush account. I lost access to the email connected to it, so I can't receive the confirmation email. My game progress is still on King's servers, and I'm only asking if my account can be recovered or linked to a new email. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I answered a similar question already elsewhere, it seems odd to come up again so soon, but I will comment again:

There are safeguards in place: In order to delete a Candy Crush account you are sent an email which you have to confirm for permanent deletion of the account. In fact having lost access to one's email prevents permanent account deletion!

There is a simple feature for saving progress: Save the game using the "save my progress" option. Any saved account can be retrieved from King's servers if you should accidentally delete the app.

As I stated elsewhere I think giving a grace period for permanent account deletion is a bad idea as this is a very addictive game and often account deletion is the best way to overcome an addiction. To overcome any addiction it is helpful to NOT have the option to go back and backtrack on one's decision to quit. I disagree therefore with the suggestion that this would be a good idea.
