Bad, unhelpful, impossible changes in our games affects the Community 🤔

I have copied and pasted your comment from another thread @Spinnifix as I think it would be a good discussion, hope you don't mind. Yes it could have been put in Candy Corner, but how many actually look there, and this is in part to do with our games. You posted ⬇️

Unfortunately, it's the case that in the past, the posts were full of comments, unlike today. Thus, we will never really know how the players behave. I'm writing in general now. A lot has changed in the community and many players have left.

Yes many players have left the Community, but I don't think that's all to do with how the Community is set up. Years ago a lot of feedback used to be given in the New Level threads, and I mean a lot. Anyone who looks at the 2022 New Level threads will see. But because nothing got acted upon, players didn't bother anymore and many left the Community. They may also have deleted their games, that's one thing we'll never know, as they don't post here anymore.

We used to get side games that everyone could join in with, and post about. That was when the side games didn't mean we had to keep passing new levels, which they are now. So it's only those who can join in, that do.

Now we have the 🤬 Wheel of Fortune, which is bringing more to the Community, but how many of them will stay, either way of if the 🤬 Wheel gets permanently removed or not.

So in my mind until King actually start listening and acting on feedback, posts will stay few and far between, especially the happy ones 🥴

I could go on, but hopefully others would like to put their comments on their thoughts.

I've had that with the balloon before @Spinnifix and always thought it was because I'd used all my allocated adverts in Sweet Cinema. Haven't played Sweet Cinema today, got the balloon and clicked on it, it worked for me.

I answered another post, the same as yours a few days ago, so there's obviously a problem for some.

Still, at least it's another bit of gloom and doom to post about 🤐

@Spinnifix if you actually see the ballon but when you tap on it it says "advertising not available" that's not normal and suggests there is something wrong with your account. Are you playing the latest version of the app and do you regularly close and reopen the app every day? It sounds like there might be a problem with connection to the server. The balloon should only pop up when there is actually an advert available to watch.

I haven't been to the cinema for a long time. I usually get the balloon, and when I take it, it says: 'Advertising not available.' This has happened to me quite often lately, and I feel like I'm being fooled.

Well, I stayed up half the night working hard and made good progress.

They've improved the weekly race with the rewards. I've been back at the top spot for a long time and got 10 gold bars and boosters. I thought I might reach the milestone of 20,000, but not yet, I'm at 19999.

Hi @stephanie2024 thank you for replying. We are really talking about why Community members aren't posting as much as they used to. Many seem to have left or just being quite. I think it's possibly because there isn't really anything to post about, other than gloom and doom. And the gloom and doom is all King's doing with the awful changes they keep making to the game 😣

@Carol-38 I can't help but think that the players who are staying quiet about the changes(especially, the 🤬 wheel of fortune), are either not in this ridiculous "test group", or are just having pure luck! If I'm correct, the insane wheel of fortune has been here for at least the past 2 months? So, if many players are deciding to leave, because there's no sense, or way, of getting through the game, why does King think it's okay to keep the wheel? Besides, the obvious, which is money!! For me, I play this game(or, any games) for the fun that the game should be about. I have quit other games, because they weren't fun to play anymore. I'm very close to saying goodbye to this one, unless King makes changes, and it happens SOONER THAN LATER!🤔😡

I've come this far with great effort and I'm not going to start over again. I'd rather just quit altogether.

Do you still remember that it was often said in the past:

The levels must be completed without using boosters.

Well, it looks quite different now, and a lot of effort has been put into making it pass at all.

When I think about it, the boosters for gold bars are also far too expensive. Especially for free players.

For the money players, there are purchase packages with discounts.

It's even more difficult for the free players.

By double colour bombs I meant two colour bombs next to one another @Spinnifix , to play as a combo.

The super chargers, which is what you describe, are a con trick: They are meant to make the game fun for some players, but in reality King put them in the game hoping that players will pay gold/money to keep them. As you say they then hide them far apart underneath blockers so to keep them you would have waste a lot of gold bars. The game is just terrible in the 19,000 + levels. The best thing you can do if you want to enjoy this game would be to restart a new account from the beginning.

The double color bombs are placed separately and embedded in another blocker. Thus, I lose these color bombs again in the first level. I can't use them partially. But you have to play 2 - 4 levels to get them. That's completely pointless. So I'm hardly making any progress anymore.

It's almost impossible to pass the game anymore.

Simply too heavy.

The Pink Blancmange Monster is vicious @Carol-38 . On my second such level I had to already use a party popper to pass. Those are the boss levels now, which seem to be just one more feature the game introduced that nobody in this community who actually plays the game likes (You definitely have to spend more to pass this event than is possible to gain from it, so why would anyone like this?). It's a perfect example to what King think of player feedback.

Undoubtedly before long there will be players asking us how to pass these levels, and then the moderators will tell them to post a screenshot so we can advise them. The truth is, we no longer need any screenshot to advise players. There are three choices of how to pass these levels:

If you start off with a double colour bomb combo you might be able to pass. ("luck" written into the game by the AI)
Play one party popper as your first or second move, or a UFO and/or party popper four moves from the end, which might be enough
Replay until you are offered enough extra moves for 10 gold bars

That's exactly my point: The game is uniform. This is the prescription of how to pass legendary, blocker, and those horrible end of episode boss levels. You don't need a phD to figure out what to do. And you don't need any advice from experienced players either. I wish the moderators stop asking us to be honest. I've got no advice left to give. Just the usual, you know what.

I really don't care what they do with my comments. So it's fine with me. We all know why the players left. They were at the top of the rankings and were demoted several times. The profiles without mailboxes and so on. As for the levels. Yes, I'm at 19993. With the few moves and boosters, it's not possible. Even I hardly get any ads to keep playing anymore. So many events just pass me by without me being able to participate. I'd just need a few individual gold bars to fill up 10 gold bars. That's what I'd wish for. Players thank you for winning the episode race and you get 1 - 3 extra moves. That's not enough. Could they at least give 1 or a few more gold bars? That would be better. The levels are increasingly filled with blockers. Sometimes it's not possible to make a combination. Then the game ends. I've had that happen many times. That's definitely one reason why players have deleted the game. It's just not fun to play anymore.

Yes as you say the majority of new levels are the same, full of blockers and no way to collect what is needed, sculls, keys, etc to actually get to the multi layered blockers at the bottom that need clearing. And most not being possible in the amount of moves given, so requiring anything from 5 to 80 extra moves. Also the amount of Legendary, Nightmare, Super Hard and Hard in each Episode is ridiculously boring. So much feedback has been given, but nothing changes does it, sadly 🥴

Language differences as you say, are a problem. That's why it's such a shame the translation actually got removed, instead of more languages being added to what we had before.

I do believe there are still many long term Community members who used to post a lot, still reading what is being posted about. But what is there to join in with or comment on 🙄

I've said what I'm going to say now so many times, I even bore myself saying it. But I'm putting it again in case 'The Team', 'The Studio', The Developers, or 'The Developers Gofers' are spying on what is being said.

Where are the fun side games we used to get, where we didn't have to pass new levels or enter leaderboards. We could do with some coming back, just for a bit of fun, and to create some fun posts in the Community. They could just be for a small amount of gold bars and a few boosters, but at least it would create some fun posting about them.

At the moment I've got The Pink Blancmange Monster (Volcanic Panic) in my game, wish I hadn't, does anyone really find that fun 🤔. I used to look forward to the last level of each Episode, was a relief it could actually be completed without boosters or gold. But the Pink Blancmange Monster has done away with that.

So it does seem there are many things, that could still be done to make the game fun again, that would then pass on to the Community, to create more fun posts, if only they'd listen 😌

From my point of view @Carol-38 the main reason why players have left the community and no longer comment in threads such as the new levels thread is the overall change in the game: Game strategy has become simplified so no one has anything to say about specific levels any more. They are practically all the same. This means players don't come here for advice on how to pass specific levels (because everyone now knows it's about paying gold bars for extra moves), nor do they bother to comment on the latest releases. What is there to say? They are the same as last week's releases and those of the week before, aren't they? Another obvious reason is that hardly anyone who does join us can speak English well enough to communicate beyond a few words, which often make no sense. There probably isn't much anyone can do about that since the type of people who play Candy Crush has changed so much.
