Game not communicating with Facebook

I've made it through about 2,500 levels of Candy Crush and everything was going great until about two weeks ago. Suddenly, my friends disappeared but I still had my levels and gold bars. My laptop showed that I had fewer games on it than my phone, so it looks like it stopped syncing two weeks ago. I logged out, logged in, tried a few things before finally deleting it from my iPhone (I still have it on my laptop through the Facebook app and that seems to be fine). Now, when I've attempted to reinstall it, I have no friends, no levels and no gold bars! So...

I made sure that my device was up to date, cleared the memory cache from Safari, deleted Chrome, deleted Facebook, deleted Messenger and deleted CC. Then I logged into Facebook using Safari, and got the CC app back on my phone. When I tried to log back in to Candy Crush, I got the notice that I had previously used this device to log in to Facebook - proceed or cancel? If I cancel, I can't log in and if I do log in, it brings me back to Level 1, no friends, no gold bars. So it's just not communicating with Facebook.

I'm guessing, at this point, that Candy Crush is remembering my previous log in and I need to somehow clear that so I can start fresh - but how do I do that? Just uninstalling it does not seem to work. Is there a "clear cache" for Candy Crush?

Well, this is strange!

I went through the entire clear and install everything as I outlined above. But this time, I also went into my Facebook App settings on my phone and deleted Candy Crush through the app. Then, I reinstalled everything and voila! Reinstalled Candy Crush using my Facebook login and it connected it to my previous history and Facebook friends. So I reinstalled Facebook and Messenger, shut everything down, started it back up again and it seems to be working properly now. Almost...

The piece that was missing in the instructions was deleting the game from the Facebook App, apparently, as I had not tried that previously. In any case, it all looks good now. Whew!

Now that it's back up, I played a game to check that all was good and... All my boosters are gone. I had some lives saved up that friends had sent me and several hammers, hands and other boosters - and they are nowhere to be found. However, my gold bars are back and it's at the proper level now. Is there any way to get the lives and boosters back or are they gone forever? I've attached screen shots for you. Unfortunately, it's appearing the same way on my laptop now, too - so I'm guessing they are gone forever.

It sounds like you've done all correct steps to start connecting to Facebook from fresh. These are the steps are recommended when you have been connecting to a wrong Facebook account and you need to connect to another one. But that's not your case?

If you just choose "Continue" when connecting the game back to Facebook, does the issue with connection continue? If it does, could you add us a screenshot of your game map once you are reconnected to Facebook?

My internet connection is fine. It's 4G, 5-bars on my phone. Same with the wireless. Works fine. That's not the problem.

When I said I deleted Facebook, I meant that I deleted the Facebook App. Facebook itself has been working just fine on my phone and on my laptop - that's not a problem. And Candy Crush Saga had been working just fine on my laptop and fine on my phone until 2 weeks ago - then it stopped syncing with Facebook (on my iPhone phone only - I can still play the game on my laptop and my friends and history display correctly).

Here's what I did:
I cleared the cache/memory from Safari deleted the Safari App on my phone.
I deleted the Facebook App on my phone.
I deleted the Facebook Messenger App on my phone.
I deleted the Candy Crush Saga App on my phone.
I rebooted my phone after shutting it off for about a minute.
Then, I reinstalled Safari.
Then I logged into Facebook using the Safari browser. It correctly brought me to my Facebook page.
Then, I reinstalled the Candy Crush Saga App and attempted to log by using Facebook using the Safari browser - which gave me the option of logging into Facebook or canceling. I logged onto Facebook but my friends and previous Candy Crush history was gone.
I then reinstalled the Facebook App onto my phone and logged in - it was fine, no problem.
Then, I reinstalled the Messenger App on my phone, which also worked fine (and synced my Facebook contacts, as usual).
I deleted Candy Crush again, rebooted my phone, and reinstalled it. When I attempted to login to Facebook, the same problem reoccurred.

Basically, what I did was everything suggested on this page: https://community.king.com/en/blog/discussion/247418/having-problems-connecting-to-facebook-on-ios/p1?new=1. And it still is not "seeing" my friends or previous history.

So, I'm still looking for answers. Thank you.

Hi there! Welcome to the Community!

You said you deleted Facebook? Was that right?

Let me tell you something. You can't delete your Facebook Account. Only Facebook can do that with Owners Written Request or if you Violated Its Rules & Regulations. You can only Disable It and come back later on to Enable It.

Candy Crush Saga can be played Online or Offline which is the reason why people can play this Game Anywhere. The problem is, if you're Offline, you don't have access to your Friends and won't get the Boosters from Completing A Level until you are Online or has Internet Connections.

Reset both your Router & Modem by unplugging them from the outlet for 60 seconds. You might want to turn your computer off at the same time. After 60 Seconds, plug-in both your Router & Modem, wait until the lights on each are solid or steady, meaning not blinking. Once they are steady, turn your Computer On.

If this does not fix your problem, you have to Test your Internet Connections. It is good to know what the Internet Speed that you are paying your Internet Provider monthly so you can compare it when you test your Connection Speed. All you need to do is Click on GO. Your Ping Result should be Low. Anything under Speed of 20ms is ideal. If it is High, your computer will be slow in responding to other Computer Requests. Your Download Speed should coincide with the Speed that you are paying your Internet Service Provider (ISP) monthly. If it is way below what you are paying for, then it is time to call your ISP. To test your Internet Speed, go to Speedtest by Ookla at this link: https://www.speedtest.net/
