No longer able to exit an unstarted board without losing lives☹

At level 2975 and above, I am no longer able to exit an unstarted board without losing lives. I will no longer play if this is the new norm!

You enjoyed this feature because of an error in the game. But currently this error has been resolved so you will not be able to get this feature back in your game.

You know there's been a lot of problems in the game since last week and they were a temporary problem.The information I got.

A new change has already taken place but CM did not tell us or he did not tag us even though he posted one. I didn't have time to notice every post so I missed the post. For reasons I don't know, I'll blame CM.
Anyway, now the issue is clear and you end the matter here.

Their wordings are becoming misleading. They should not use Google Translate. Get a live person translator for heaven's sake. Why can't they say exactly how and what it is, that Resetting The Board is no longer free? It is plain and simple! This is not a fix! They are just making us pay with a life for resetting and exiting the game. It is too bad Noah Webster is not alive to explain it to them.

Has anyone gotten any sort of response from King on this issue? Sad that after playing for so many years they would do this to their players. It might be time to throw in the towel.

This is a rotten change. Playing at the highest levels requires some luck and skill to progress. Bad starting boards are just so discouraging and take all the fun out of it.

I've only struck this problem as of yesterday. When opening the App there was a brief message of one character talking to Tiff, something about there needed to a 'fix', which disappeared after about a nano second and from that time on I too can't reset my games.

Hello.I noticed it too !! its a big mistake for develpoers...for example i forgot to take off a booster and if i want to cancel i cant !!! i have to lose a life for that !!!
Please fix !!!

Apparently it is not a bug but a permanent change. A friend tells me you not only lose lives, but boosters you bring in.

Same issue here hope this is a bug and not a change I’m only on 1925 but some levels up to now have relied on the ability to reset to get a more favourable start. If this is a change I probably won’t bother going any further. 😥

This is a major strategy for players - including those who buy boosters. Is this a permanent change? If so, I am afraid you will lose many players.

I'm on level 5888 and this new issue just got to me of not being able to exit without losing a life. Very disturbing. I might have to take my "Time On Device" to another company.

Same. If this is the new normal I think it’s my final straw. So many of the things that made this game helpful and fun have been taken away.

I’m at levels 2743 while on iOS I will lose lives even though if I didn’t move my candies yet. They need to fix this problem!

I am in the 2400 levels and am seeing the same thing. These levels are tough enough without making them even harder. Luck is a big part of passing these harder levels and when a level takes 3 days to pass it is no longer fun or relaxing so I agree that I will stop playing if this is the new norm!!

I’m not sure how this community site is suppose to work, I posted my question and see others are having the same issue...”the game is no longer allowing me to reset without the cost of a life” but I don’t see any response from King. Am I missing something? Is this going to be fixed?

Unfortunately - this is now a permanent change by the studio to make this game more like the other Candy Crush games where they cannot reset the board without a penalty. However - we have been able to do this for over 8 years now and over 5000 levels. The game was designed to have this ability and it is one that the players enjoyed and appreciated. Especially with how difficult the higher levels are becoming.

One of the reasons for the community is to allow players to provide feedback to the studios - to give the players a 'voice'. In the past there have been some unpopular changes and the outcry of the players have caused the studios to modify or change what they did so I encourage everyone (just like @mercerik has said above) to continue to post your opinions to let the studio know how you feel. Please keep your feedback coming.

Years of existence in an App is definitely not an error whether they accept it or not. They can't even claim it as an oversight. If they do, it is negligence on their part. People have been talking about it in past postings in this community. I didn't know it existed till I saw the postings here last summer. If I did not join this community, I wouldn't have known about this at all.

I wish they've been upfront or honest about this when the announcement was made. Telling it straight for what it is and not hiding behind the misleading word fix would have been better. You only use fix when something is broken. Ask Noah Webster! 😊

Same here. Never had this problem since the begin I play. Iam on level 5778 now and I am totally stuck on Super Hard Level without even able tp reset the board, otherwise I'll love lives and boosters.

They tried this a few months ago, and then reverted to the old way. If they don’t do the same, this game will die.

Voting is not a viable solution to this situation. It is just a diversion to calm them down. Taking them to where the action is would make a difference. Voicing their objection is much better option.

Hello @mercerik - I understand where you are coming from but I have found in the past a combination of voting and voicing their opinion can sometimes help and it also gives a better picture to the studio.

Which one is better, getting straight where the action is where the objection is added to the list of members airing their gripes or waiting for the votes to come in? Voting might work for some but not necessarily for all especially this one. Voicing an objection has a face of a person to it. It has more force to it if you ask me. Members who comment on an idea might or might not have tapped the Green Voting bar. Do you see what I am heading at?

Voting in this case would be to King Games' advantage. A good delaying tactic, hoping that this outrage will die down soon and be forgotten. Think about it!

Are you really supporting the members who are affected by this because I've never seen you and the rest of the Superstars comment at the CM's Announcement? Are you all distancing yourself from this? Do you still remember that you are one of us?

I too am in the 5000 and higher games. Thank you Candy Crush for this “fix.” I will now be able to save time and money since I will no longer be playing your game. I will check back occasionally to see if you have fixed your “fix.” Until you do, I will not be playing or spending any more money with you. You are going to be losing a lot of people. Well done!

Same for me!! I'm at level 5733..and cannot reset the levels anymore!. Whyyy...but whyy are you doing this? You must see that this change made a lot of people unhappy! That's not the right way to keep us playing! Please fix this! Thank you!

Somebody at King decided to “fix a bug” that allowed reset without penalty. They will discover it kills their Golden Goose in short order, as loyal players get pissed off. I’m done with this nonsense. I sent King an email and so should you.

Not being able to reset the board is ridiculously exploitative. Seriously! I’m in the mid 3500 levels and if I want to make a strategic decision to not use a board that should not mean I lose a life and the boosters I’d selected. That’s just spiteful and greedy. Come on!!!! Revert back already.
