No longer able to exit an unstarted board without losing lives - Information and feedback

Dear community,

I'd like to share with you some information in regards to a god old known issue of the game:

as you may be aware, when we access a level, we don't use any move and we exit the level without playing it, we don't lose any life.

This behaviour was not intended since the very beginning and very soon, this issue is going to be fixed.

That means that, once it's fixed, if we access a level to check it out, we don't do anything and we decide to exit the level to go back to the map, we will be losing a life.

Going back in playing level six to build your bot is just so boring. Do you think they really like this, because then they can boast stats of so many people playing? Just seems so tedious.

Btw, you can X out, check, and if you are not all the way there, keep working at it

Sure, it takes a bit to scroll all the way back (though not as long as it used to), but I can fill up, have all available boosters then play a few game with no $ spent

I didn’t even know you could do this. I never tried, since I assumed you would lose a life if you opened a level. It does seem more fair to have it this way. And I’m not just saying that because I didn’t know you could do it!

Has no one read my posts concerning bots or other booster builders? If I see nothing available, only two (or one) option on the right sidebar, I scroll back to (my choice, very fast win) game 6. Once you have finished, back out, check your sidebar. I think you will wee an option of bot or other (sorry, brain dead tonight) on the right side. Keep playing early game til your options are full, bot or other, then continue with your highest level. REALLY?

I guess it’s time to say thank you to King, for breaking my candy crush addiction. I always thought it was stupid that I only got to play five games. But with being able to reset I was able to strategically place my boosters and actually play more than five games. Now without that feature I play my five games, losing them all. And then I go play a non-King game.

I really don’t think king wants us to be able to progress at the high levels. That puts pressure on them to have to create more levels. They would rather drum up new players and try to milk them for money.

I think it’s highly disrespectful to the customer base to post an announcement about this, and then promise an official response. And then Never deliver.

I will watch videos to support a gaming companies bottom line. However I haven’t had the video option for months and months and months. But I will never spend my money for this.

Well, they won’t see my money ever again. Not being able to reset the board has changed the whole experience of the game and anyway, why would I want to buy boosters if I can’t place them strategically?

Glad to see this “discussion” thread still going.. even though it’ll accomplish nothing as we all know King doesn’t care about whether we like any changes they make or not.. it’s all about money and greed.. it’s always been about that from the start. The only way to win is to stop playing and not giving them the satisfaction of fooling us like they care. If they cared, stupid “fixes” like these wouldn’t happen.. especially mechanics of the game that have been present since the beginning.

The sad reality is that most people will still continue playing and letting them win.

As a long time Candy Crush player I find I'm suddenly no longer able to shuffle a new board without losing a life. I have many friends who play Candy Crush also & we have enjoyed our friendly competition each week. I'm embarrassed to say that I've spent quite a lot of money on this game in the past. The idea of having the rules changed arbitrarily & w/out notice has been very off putting. & although I will probably continue to play, this has been a real wake up call. I will think long and hard before purchasing any more boosters.

I agree with you, regardless of the reason why it hasn't happened yet. Whether he's not being allowed to return to this thread with an "official" announcement or he hasn't got anything new to say, leaving this discussion has created an actual monster. No one is happy about the "fix" and they are taking it out on each other instead of directing all of that energy to the source of the problem.
It's long past any reasonable amount of time the players should be expected to wait for his promise to return to the thread. At this point it's becoming more about that than theactual topic of the thread. Now his absence is feeding the monster.
