Glitch making me lose lives

Hello!

i noticed something had changed with a CC update earlier this year but have fallen foul of it yet again - I wondered if anyone else has this glitch or knows how to fix it?

You used to be able to leave a level without losing a life as long as you hadn’t started playing it, very useful for if you accidentally click the wrong level! However, now it takes a life away from you.

Does the game think you’ve moved a candy or something? Is there a code issue or was the update not fully checked?

I’m playing on an iPhone 7 with the latest iOS installed.

I also experienced the same thing as you and lost live and even my boosters if the game glitch. we are report to the Game Team about this Issue.

If I remember from previous discussions, this was a planned (negative) change to the game, and not a glitch.

are there any plans to roll it back, have they said?

No, there are no plans for King to change it back. You can read the official announcement and the 121 page thread that followed here https://community.king.com/en/candy-crush-saga/discussion/271961/no-longer-able-to-exit-an-unstarted-board-without-losing-lives-information-and-feedback (there are lots of smaller threads like yours as well.) Nobody was happy with the change, but King will not be changing it back. :(

Thank you very much for your help. Reading the thread, it seems astonishing I thought it was a glitch. That’s never the case in this hellish late capitalism society.
