still stuck on 255
On my android phone (app), ipad (app), AND laptop via Facebook, after level 255, there is just a spinning clock, preventing me from playing further levels. I got a king.com account, synced to Facebook, and it loads to 100% but won't let me play, just sticks on 100%. I have updated java and flash, cleared the cache multiple times, and tried in both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer and still no change.

If the game fails to load on so many different devices could indicate that there's an issue with your Internet connection.
I suggest you grab your phone or tablet and head to the nearest coffee shop with free WiFi and connect from there to see if that will solve your issue.
