Update killed my app

HELP! The update has killed my app. I already had this issue with Candy Crush, Farm Heroes, and Diamond Digger this week and I had to delete and reinstall each app. This caused me to lose all my lives and any boosters I had. I lost almost 300 lives on Candy Crush alone! I'm afraid to do this with Soda Saga since I have approximately 70 gold bars and 40 lollipops. What can I do? HELP PLEASE!

I know that items can get lost via updates, but not for anything you have paid for so your gold bars/levels will be safe. I don't think its guaranteed for any in-game boosters you have picked up though.
