Why did it say I beat the level but not unlock the next?

 I used my last three suckers to help me finally beat level 600. After I beat the level I clicked out of the game to do something else on my phone and when I went back it claimed I never beat the level yet my suckers were still gone. Is there anything that can be done about this? It took me quite some time to be at that level.
