game crashes

This is happening on both cc saga and soda and I am beyond irritated.  I will be playing on my iPad and the game just stops and is gone.  And lately (and I am pretty sure it's a coincidence but still!!!) it happens on hard levels when I am a few steps away from winning and in the case that just happened after I bought a package and extra moves.  So I've lost 6 boosters.   I am up to speed on updates, have rebooted and have all windows except for the game closed.
