Freezing on colorbomb

In the past few days when I try to use a colorbomb my game freezes and I have to refresh. This is frustrating as I am using up lives unnecessarily, and not enjoying the game. Why is this happening suddenly. It happens on different levels, and whether I play on facebook or the games platform. I play on my laptop. I've cleared cache, and cleared anything which might cause problems. Today alone it has happened 4 times.
