Amazon reset my freaking Kindle and I was sent back to the beginning and I was at 539. Why?

Amazon reset my Kindle and my progress was sent back to the beginning. I was at 539 with plenty of boosters and everything. And please don't give me that bull about my Kindle being out of date. Please don't. I am angry, frustrated, and feeling like I have been robbed.
