Why does my level not increase after I pass it?

I have passed 11 levels past where my icon is. I have updated and completely uninstalled and reinstalled the program.  I have missed out on countless prizes and hours of unlimited lives. Not to mention all the contest points I have been shorted.  How do I fix this without losing the progress I have made? And how to I get the rewards I have earned?
