I sync'd my Candy Crush Soda to my Facebook account and it took me back to level 1.

I sync'd my Candy Crush Soda to my Facebook account and it took me back to level 1. Unfortunately, I hadn't noted my level before the sync (didn't anticipate it happening again after I had already registered my normal Candy Crush account with Facebook).  I need the levels restored now that it is sync'd, but I don't know if there is a way to tell where I was at.  I did backup my phone via iTunes shortly before sync'n so I may be able to restore that way, but don't want to try that until there is no other way as I will lose anything since the update.  Please advise if there is a way to restore and figure out where I was at.
