Why am I not able to return to the game after buying gold bars?

This is the second day in a row I purchased gold bars to complete a game. After completing the purchase, instead of returning me to the game the screen goes blank.....thinking it was a one time event I purchased bars twice today with same result so I will no longer be making purchases on Candy Crush Soda.
