I lost all my progress

I was at level 1750 on my iPad. When I wanted to play the game, I needed to accept the updated Terms of Service. I accepted. Then all my progress vanished. I was at level 1! I contacted King and they suggested a bad solution. They told me log out of the game, turn power off my iPad and turn it on again and sign in. Did all that but I had to accept the Terms of Service again. I did and once again I was at level 1 after progressing to level 43. Can anyone help? Anyone else have a problem when they accepted the TOS?
