Gift boxes will not open after passing levels. I've read all threads and tried the suggested fixes

I've read all the threads pertaining to gift boxes not opening ,installed updates, reinstalled the app and logged in and out of FB several times and gift boxes still won't open. I'm going to stop playing altogether because I can't pass any levels without these boosters .

Hi Jamie, can you go back and see if any of the levels don't have stars. Does it restart you at an older level?

Im also having same problem. Some threads suggest it's a known bug but developers can't / wont fix due to time constraints.0
