Can’t play soda crush

Hi, I was playing soda crush like normal and had won the bubble gum troll competition, but it said I wasn’t connected to the internet so I couldn’t have the prize. I did what I normally do, which is switch off the app, put my iPad on airplane mode, then turn everything on again, but for some reason it didn’t work this time. I can’t even play the game.

It shows the first screen with the soda crush logo and play button, but I can’t press it. It keeps flickering between the “log in with Facebook” sign, and a box saying “connecting to Facebook”.

My candy crush and jelly crush games are giving me no problems, and I’m definitely connected to the internet. I even tried rebooting my iPad, and I don’t want to delete the app in case it deletes my progress. Please help!
