Hey everyone,

Thanks again for all your feedback and for staying respectful.

The iteration we had was a work-around due to an unfortunate glitch, while the team kept working hard on a fix.

With that said, we have just managed to fix it and now you will be able to claim the throne as many times as possible. The event will still run for a day every day for the time being though.

I want to thank you all for the patience and to keep encouraging you to send feedback our way and help us make your experience better. I'll make sure we are here to read it and address it.

It looks like the pesky Bubble Gum Troll is at it again causing havoc! He has decided to temporarily change the rules and he now wants to keep his throne for longer and stop you getting his Sodalicious rewards.

What are the new rules?

You now have one chance a day to try to conquer the throne. Play the five levels to win the rewards. After crowning yourself, you will need to wait until the day after to have another shot at conquering it again.

You will not be able to sit in the throne multiple times a day. A king needs to rest!

If you have some questions around the new way the event will work for now, feel free to drop them in the comments. I'll do my best to answer each and every one of them.

The issue around Bubblegum Hill has been proven to be a bit tricky. The event is for now gone and we are working on changes to it that will help tackle this situation.

I want to take the time to thank you all for staying positive and respectful, you are such a great Community! I'd also like to apologise in behalf of the studio and to let you know that we are working our hardest to make sure that the scenario is as optimal as possible.

HI @Bachmeier6, thanks for posting here in the community. I don't know how all of you players have been playing this challenge. I never get beyond the third one! If there are a lot of complaints, maybe the studio will change it again. But I'm not privy to that information.

Played yesterday, able to get old behavior - got about 24 hammers in 6 hills, total of 10 gold bars, promptly used all of those hammers and bars to pass 7 out of the 15 new levels...

Not sure how in turn I get no daily booster anymore, but perhaps that's due to trying out the quests "official" workaround (which doesn't work for me) rather than my own.

Ridiculous. Only once the throne and getting 1 gold bar 😠. And completed all levels now. Waiting for a new day 🙄. No fun anymore.

I’m not sure why the changes have been made to BGH. I look forward to earning gold bars! I guess I won’t be playing candy crush as much anymore either☹️

Hi @Carole_McSherry I just figured out what you meant by the machine! You are referring to the sugar drop challenge and yes I have seen a couple of players complaining that it froze and they had to exit out of the game and reopen to continue playing it. I'm going to ask the Community Manager what's going on with this freezing.

I totally dislike this new rule of BGH. I completed all levels and while waiting for the new levels to be released I play BGH. Now with the new rule, I have nothing to do after the winning and BGH is locked

Yesterday was my lucky day. Whole afternoon and evening I was able to play. And suddenly in the middle of the play I was thrown out 😥. I hope so it’s just a glitch.

I think you have to have beaten all available levels to have BGH right now. Though it doesn't matter because it's not working.

Well I got my hopes up today. I was able to play about 4 times since this morning so I assumed it had been fixed. I was just notified I was dethroned and opened it and it's stuck again 😢. So it has to be a glitch that they are just claiming is a new thing for now, otherwise I only would've been able to play once today 🤷‍♀️

And it starts again with the new game. I got to play twice and it’s frozen. I am asking again for an update from support. If this is something new - and it’s being done on purpose - please let us know. If it’s a glitch please let us know. Any kind of update would be appreciated.

game freezes on bubblegum machine screen and I don't get prizes....have to exit game and return....also not able to send lives or get them from friends

The fact that it's been days since we have gotten any sort of update on a resolution to the BGH glitch or even an announcement that it's still being worked on, is absolutely ridiculous.
Not to sound rude but King's customer service at this point is not very good!
At the very least they should acknowledge all of our complaints/concerns....

Once I beat it, I was locked out for the rest of the event (including the following day).

Am I reading correctly that these new rules (one win per day) are temporary? I suspect it will lose appeal quickly if that’s a permanent rule. The whole draw is the opportunity to stock up!

I'm sorry but this is the dumbest thing they have done so far. The whole point of BGH is so that you can stack up lollipops and gold bars! I've been a player of CCSS since it was released, but this change irritates me and is wrong.
I will never spend another dime on a King game. BGH is the only in game add on challenge that EVER gets messed with. The other tournaments that no one cares about are always there on a consistent rotation, but BGH constantly goes away or has problems. Why is that???
