When conversations are merged together, it would be helpful to have a notation at the end of the merged post saying "This Conversation Was Merged From Another Discussion" (and perhaps add the name of said discussion). When topics are unexpectly merged together it creates confusion because the conversations are no longer cohesive. Posts appear random as part of the conversation that was posted prior no longer exist, and are now placed randomly within another conversation. Also, when someone is following a conversation and the address to the page no longer exists (because it was merged with another), people don't know where the conversation was moved.
