Screen is going black with no recovery

I’ve noticed in the last 7 days, after playing less than 5 games, the screen goes black. I can shut phone down, & it resets, but that’s crazy ridiculous— it hasn’t been that way until now. Is there a bug that needs to be repaired?

Reset/Clear cache data from App Store - Check app update - Log out game - Restart Device - Open game and Log in.
