Frosting levels with the frosting bear (Find the bears levels)
These are the most common game mode in the game.
You have to find a certain number of bears but they are hidden underneath the frosting. In order to do this, you have to clear the frosting which will then release the bears. They are always under the frosting so when all the frosting on top of the bear is clear, it will then be released.
Beware because the higher up the levels the more bears will be hidden and they will all be various sizes from very tiny to very large. But when you are down to just the one layer of frosting you will be able to see the green showing through making it easier to determine which frosting squares still need to be removed.
‘When all amount of bears are collected, Soda Crush is activated - fish, striped and wrapped candies are made for every move remaining, giving 3,000 points for each. Then each of them activates themselves.
Frosting levels are usually somewhat harder than other levels. The levels are usually easier if there are few colors but very hard if the levels have six or seven colors, even if there are blockers on the board.’ (Wiki)
The Jam levels (Spread all the Jam levels)
These are the second most common game mode.
To win a jam level, you have to spread the jam over the entire board. Jam can be spread by matching the same color candies where there is jam underneath.
‘When all amount of jams are spread, Soda Crush is activated - fish, striped and wrapped candies are made for every move remaining, giving 3,000 points for each. Then each of them activates themselves. A player also has to reach a certain score requirement (for one star). This is usually trivial, because if you complete the main level objective, you always have enough points for at least one star.’ (Wiki)
Honey levels with the Honey Bears (Eat the honey and save the bears levels)
These are the third most common game mode.
These bears are hidden under the honey combs. They occupy one space on the board but beware there will be several honey comb layers that need to be released.
To win a honey level, you have to free all the trapped bears. The difficulty in this level is that the honey can have up to six layers.
‘When all amount of bears are collected, Soda Crush is activated - fish, striped and wrapped candies are made for every move remaining, giving 3,000 points for each. Then each of them activates themselves.
Honey levels are somewhat harder than other levels. The levels are often easy if there are few colors and comb honey but harder if there are too much comb honey, blockers, and many colors.’ (Wiki)
Bubble levels with the Bubble Bears (Get the bear above the candy string levels)
These are the fourth most common game mode.
They cannot be released or destroyed. Making matches or using special candies won’t help this bear either. To win a bubble level, you have to destroy bottles (same as soda levels), to get the soda level go up. However, the main objective is to get the required number of bears (which are positioned in bubbles) high enough for the bear to rise above the candy string.
‘When the required number of bubbles are collected, if there are existing bottles on the board, they will also be popped and Soda Crush is activated - fish, striped and wrapped candies are made for every move remaining, giving 3,000 points for each. Then each of them activates themselves. A player also has to reach a certain score requirement (for one star). This is usually trivial, because if you complete the main level objective, you always have enough points for at least one star. (Wiki)
Soda levels (Pop the bottles levels)
These are the fifth most common game mode.
The objective of this type of level is to pop a certain number of bottles which will then raise the level of soda to the top of the board. These are easier to play than the other levels.
‘When all amount of bottles are collected, if there are exist bottles on the board, they will also be collected and Soda Crush is activated - fish, striped and wrapped candies are made for every move remaining, giving 3,000 points for each. Then each of them activates themselves. A player also has to reach a certain score requirement (for one star). This is usually trivial, because if you complete the main level objective, you always have enough points for at least one star. (Wiki)
The Chocolate levels (Eat all the chocolate levels)
These are the sixth most common game mode.
To win a chocolate level you have to destroy all of the chocolate. However, just like in Candy Crush Saga if you do not destroy at least one tile in a move the chocolate will spread by one tile. Keep in mind that you might also find both white and dark chocolate present on a level and they both do different things.
Note of the Author:
The Dark Chocolate seems to be the most hated blocker on all the Candy Crush games. You need to make a match of 3 candies next to it and if you can’t find that match then the chocolate will begin to multiply. You can also use the special candies to clear them.
The White Chocolate, unlike the dark chocolate grows two squares with each move. You also must make a match next to it to clear it.
‘When all amount of chocolate is removed, Soda Crush is activated - fish, striped and wrapped candies are made for every move remaining, giving 3,000 points for each. Then each of them activates themselves. A player also has to reach a certain score requirement (for one star). This is usually trivial, because if you complete the main level objective, you always have enough points for at least one star. Sometimes, the chocolate will eat your special candies and it is very troublesome. This always happens when the only possible way for chocolate to spread is by eating them.’ (Wiki)
The Bubble Gum levels (sometimes also known as Chew all the bubble gum levels)
These are the least common game mode.
To win a bubble gum level, you have to destroy all the bubblegum on the board. The objective is similar to that of chocolate levels, so if you don’t destroy at least one square of it, it will expand to another square. Unlike the chocolate that covers up the candy, you can still see the candy and be able to match it. To clear this blocker, you must make a match of 3 of the same candy color and the candy under the bubblegum can be a part of the match.
If you make a move without destroying at least one, it will spread by one square before you make the next move. You can do this either by occupying an adjacent square or by adding a layer to the current square, which traps the candy on that square.
‘When all amount of bubble gums are chewed, Soda Crush is activated - fish, striped and wrapped candies are made for every move remaining, giving 3,000 points for each. Then each of them activates themselves. A player also has to reach a certain score requirement (for one star). This is usually trivial, because if you complete the main level objective, you always have enough points for at least one star.’ (Wiki)
