My friends aren't showing in the weekly challenge.

I am signed in with facebook. A couple days ago, instead of playing against my friends on the weekly challenge, I'm playing against strangers. I checked facebook and the game is active and friends are chosen.I tried logging out and logging back in, but it didn't help. How do I get my friends back?

I checked my facebook settings and it's active and friends list is selected.

@Oopsedoops Hi again, Not sure on this but since a faceboook platform update there has been issues with avatars not showing and problems with sending and receiving lives which are being investigated. May be the reason if you have done the troubleshooting tips and checked you app permissions

I am having the same problem. I have one FaceBook friend who is farther ahead in the game and she shows up with her score when I finish a level, but on the weekly challenge, they are all strangers. Last week it was just my FB friends. The game is still “active” in my settings.
