I can’t seem to add friends via the link, no code available either
Hi there,
My friend and I have been trying to add each other as friends through an invite link on the social hub via our Facebook messenger accounts. However, when we click on the link, it takes us both to the candy crush soda app page on the App Store. Then when we click to open the app, there are no pending friend requests, or any sign that we clicked on the invite link. Furthermore, there is not an option to add a friend with a code, however I’m not sure whether this is even an option anymore.

The use of the code has been phased out, so now Soda players use the link
The problem about the link opening App Store and not Soda app has been reported to Game Studio but unfortunately we have no news about the situation
Depending on the devices used, there could be a workaround to use in the meantime. I experience the same problem in my Samsung Galaxy phone but I found out how to make the link open Soda app and not Google Play and show me the invite.
What devices are you and your friends using? Please provide make and model

I am unable to add friends it just opens the store. I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

No, the issue is still under investigation, unfortunately.
In the meantime try using Chrome browser app to view and open the link. Don't use Samsung Internet app.
you should be able to make Soda app open the link correctly from the get go 😀

Kind of related to this case from last year. My wife and I play CC Saga, and when we send the friends link to each other, it just takes us to the App store. We both use iPads also. I dont see any other way to manually add a friends with a code.
Any suggestions?

Which game are you referring to?
Candy Crush Saga or Candy Crush Soda Saga?
Did you try changing the browser where you view and click the invite link on?

Sorry, I thought I used the right term. CC Saga was meant as Candy Crush Saga.
I tried the link on Safari on the iPad and on Chrome on my PC.
All take me to the app store which makes no sense as I have the game installed.

Ok, It somehow worked this time. I used Chrome on my iPad and this time, it went to the App store, then redirected to the game and added her.
So odd!

Anyone got a fix for this? I've tried all the suggestions, tried on an iPhone 13, iPad and PC and it takes me to the app store everytime. I just want to add my friends

still no fix for this issue i guess there never going to fix it as a long time player it just makes me so mad at how this is even a issue adding friends ? this is a simple basic feature that should never be an issue with a game

i found a way if you're on ios! just paste the link in your notes and select that link. you should see a bar of options, select the one that says "open in candy crush saga", i solved it like this :)
